“so good! the food was really yummy and our waiter was really nice (I believe he doesn’t work there often and was just there to help his girlfriend out but I cannot remember his name) my boyfriend and I were not planning on going but we dropped my mom off for an appointment near by and needed to kill some time so we decided to stop and grab a bite. before we even were headed to walk in (we could have just been on the sidewalk with no intent on going in) the staff greeted us and started to make small talk and were already very friendly. we got in and my boyfriend got two chicken tacos, we shared the chips and queso, and I got the street corn. we both just had water (they have alcohol and jarritos) and it was around $20. My street corn came in a cup and was a massive portion. I can throw back some food and couldn’t finish. It was spicy and warm and comforting. My boyfriend really liked his as well. We’ll probably get the chorizo queso next time instead because we both like ours a lil hotter but it was still great and a really large portion! The entire staff was really friendly! We will def be back. We literally could not stop talking about how great our service was for like three hours!“

I will tell you this is the best damn birria I've ever had & I live in Texas where the Mexican food is significantly better(argue with ya mama). Our friend by mistake went to their other location on N. Palafox, and had almost the same thing as I did, and they attested that the tacos were really good. “WOW, Vallarta has been updating the inside of the restaurant. Most of the wait staff is new, younger men and women, the inside is brighter, New WHITE leather seats even a lot of the Dusty Sombrero are replaced with newer decorations. And they were busy. MY Friend took me there as a late Birthday dinner. And the food was Fantastic. I ordered "40 the Chimmichanga shredded beef cooked HARD. No lettuce, no red sauce on top. I even asked if they could cook the meat without onions. I told him if not I would just pick them out2. I didn't find a single piece of onion in it . SUPER FANTASTIC . They DID offer extra beans and Rice because I didn't get any veggies. And it was perfect. Perfect portion, Perfectly cooked NICE and crunchy like I LOVE them. “Stopped by tonight for the first time and it was fantastic! I had 3 asada tacos, rice, and beans and everything was perfect! The tacos were stuffed with meat, the rice was fluffy, and the beans has a great taste. The service was also great, i was sitting in my car charging my phone and they walked my order out to me and to others who were waiting. ill for sure be back.“

My boyfriend and I went here today (my first time) and all I can say is "thank you!". It's definitely the closest I've found to a SoCal taco shop. I got their Asada Quesadilla and he got three Asada tacos. Everything was really good. Their salsa is super yummy. We will definitely be back. “First time at a Tijuana flats. The customer service was awesome. We felt welcomed and were greeted and explained the process immediately. Restaurant was clean. It was a little cold in there that’s why it got 4 stars on atmosphere. Food was on the bland side (garlic shrimp bowl, taco plate, steak flautas ). I didn’t try any of the sauces though so they may have been the flavor they rely on. $42 for three entrees not bad.“
“I'm not usually one to leave reviews on places but this place NEEDS more recognition. I've lived right down the road to it for a year and always overlooked it because its never busy when I pass by on my walks so I assumed it wasn't good. I am happy to say, I was SO WRONG. El Asador down the way is good if you want a massive amount of food for cheap, but without the sauces it's kind of bland. The food at this place also comes with a side of sauces but you really don't need them! The dishes are wonderfully seasoned and also decent sized with quality ingredients that make the price so worth it. I only regret not giving this place a chance sooner, but I'll definitely be going back from now on when I'm craving a great authentic Mexican dish! Absolutely delicious!“
“Great food, atmosphere, and prices. We went during happy hour where the margaritas were doubles for the price of a single. They were very good. I had the Bahn Mi tacos and could have easily eaten 2 more orders, they were so good. Definitely will be making this one of our go-to places. “Fantastic tacos. Decent carne selection. Grabbed an Adobada, Pastor, Carnitas and Campechanos. Each taco comes on one homemade tortilla that is a mix of corn and a touch of flour. Really good fresh off the grill.Favorite was the Pastor. Campechanos and Carnitas were close seconds with asada being the least exciting. Pastor was very flavorful and dripping deliciousness. The carnitas has some good chicharron pieces mixed in, chunky and good flavor. Campechanos is what I would get if you like asada, the added chorizo really gives it a good taste.Their salsa is really good. And they have a salsa bar with other sauces.Gonna say, this is my favorite taqueria in Pensacola. El Asador is good, but this place is great.“
“Everything is great!! I'd definitely go back. The con that I have is that the 1st time we went, they tried to over charge me and tell me that there was no way around it. That wasn't cool at all. The 2nd time we went, it wasn't busy at all. The issue was that we could never find out waiter and when we were ready to go, I had to go get my own to-go box because we couldn't find the waiter and we waited forever to receive our check. Once they fix those issues, they'll be great!!“

“The staff is so friendly and helpful. We prefer this location just because of the service. The inside was really clean which is always a plus to me. My husband and I both got the chicken stacks which were soooo good. We added some queso which is the perfect dipping option. My little one got a chicken, cheese and bean quesadilla which she enjoyed. She also enjoys dipping her quesadilla in the queso. Kids meals also come with a chocolate chip cookie which she couldn't wait to eat after her lunch!“

I drove by the place for many years and did not pay any attention until finally I went out to dinner there.
