“We live in Port Saint Lucie but travel to Orlando often to visit Disney. Slidders was walking distance from our air bnb and when I looked up the menu online I knew we had to try it. They did not disappoint! The food was unique and delicious and the staff was wonderful. We had a party of 9, service was fast. We ended up eating there for dinner 2 nights in a row during our trip and will be back when in the area.“

“We came here on our stay in Florida. Our daughter wanted to go here for her birthday. The restaurant was about a 5 minute drive up the road from our hotel. The place was very clean and had a lot of seating. Our server Quiera was very helpful and pleasant during the time we dined & the manager was very polite as well. We all ordered our food and the only issues we had was that our daughters pasta had a few beard hairs in it the first plate she got, they brought out a 2nd plate and we had the same issue. The manager was very accommodating and apologetic. We aren’t very picky people so it wasn’t a big deal to be honest. My meal the shrimp fritto misto came out about 15 minutes later than everyone else food so the manager was kind enough to comp my meal as well. They gave a free dessert to my daughter so that was very nice of them. Overall no complaints and would go back. Clearly the kitchen was having some problems that evening but it happens with restaurants. Thank you for your service and we will be back!“

This restaurant is located inside the Mobil gas station so it isn't as visible as maybe a restaurant with it's own store front. But don't let that deter you. Give them a chance. But because it is down the road from where I live, I am willing to go back for the convenience factor alone. If they had come to Lake Nona 2 years ago, it would've made a much bigger splash, but as of late 2023 we are actually getting a lot of decent restaurants in the area.They have a good variety of ramen and sushi dishes that will satisfy a variety of palates, but I do find their dishes to be a bit on the bland side and you can get better of both and many places in town. Of course, they have sauces on the side to doctor your soups up. Service is always good and the food comes out quickly.I'll admit that my opinion is somewhat clouded by the fact that they advertised themselves as being partnered with Kung Fu Tea for the whole year leading up to the open and even had the KFT supplies out during soft open, only to later dissolve that partnership for this location -- you can literally still see where that part of the sign was ripped off the side of the building.“

“My daughter has gone here a million times with her mom and grandparents, but I have never been here. Let me tell you that looks are deceiving. Outside is a normal facade in an older plaza... Let me tell you about the appetizers. I absolutely love summer rolls. Any Thai place I go to I ask for them and I judge them by their peanut sauce. The peanut sauce here is warm and delicious. I could not stop dipping my rolls into the sauce and thought about asking for more. DELICIOUS! I also ventured to try the tulip dumplings. The dumplings are not for everyone because of the type of sauce that is used, but I would recommend ordering this with friends so that everyone can try them since everyone's pallet is different. Now onto the main plates. My daughter orders the Phad Woon Sen which is glass noodles in a savory sweet sauce, often accompanied with tomato egg, onions, and scallion. If there is something you don't want in it, you can tell them and they will prepare it how you wish. Now, I absolutely love Phad Thai. I always order it at a Thai restaurant and judge them by this as well. This Phad Thai was one of the best I have ever had. Not too sweet, but just right. I ordered it with chicken, but you could choose any protein you want. And you can always tell them what spice level you want. Mine was not spicy, but I do love spice so I asked them for some of the sauces and they brought me three little jars. One had peanuts one had a powdery spice and the other was a sauce. Two of them, of course were hot and spicy and I loved it and put it on my Phad Thai. I fell in love with those little spice jars so much I gave them names, Winken Blinken and Nod... LOL!!!!! ...oh and I did want more peanut sauce, so my daughter told them to give me more but the one that was on the spicy side and it was awesome. Obviously, if you're not into spice, you don't have to get things that are spicy but if you are into spice, you have to try, what they have here. I am definitely coming back with or without my daughter..... LOL!!!!“

“Lacomka is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The majority of the space is for a Russian/Ukraine/Georgian grocery store. There are tons of items I remember from my childhood (my grandparents were Russian and Polish immigrants) like Farmer Cheese and herring and halvah. I used Google Translate to figure out what everything was. In the back is a little cafe area. We didn't know if we ordered at the counter and then sat down but no, you sit down and the cafe area is full service (15% gratuity is automatically added). We ordered a selection of items. I got the red borscht which comes with beef and potatoes and is served hot. I ended up really liking it but it was different than the cold red borscht that my grandmother used to make. I also tried the Compot(e), which is a cold fruit juice which is sweetened. It was very good and went well with the food. My entree was the chicken paprikash which was delicious although a little spicy for me. My dining companions had less luck with their selections. They ordered the Pirozhki, which is fried dough around potatoes and cabbage. They liked the cabbage one but thought the potatoes one was a little bland. The Cheese Pancakes were good, especially with the sweet red glaze. Finally, they got the Khinkali, which is Georgian dumplings. These were like Hong Kong Soup Dumplings where the meats and juices were inside and you had to be careful eating them. My dining companions just didn't like these. They said there was too much pepper on top and the inside meat was not as tender as they thought it would be. However, we had wanted to try a bunch of items and we did. The bread served with the meal was also very good. We sat around for a while after the meal and then weren't sure how to get the check. We ended up just going to the counter and paying, which was fine. It was very interesting to try new to us foods.“

Honestly, the food was delicious, but we only got the soup and salad endless deal with breadsticks. However, they were making our soup fresh. Which was worth it, but communication would have been better, or starting us off with the salad and/or bread sticks while we waited would've been preferred. I drank through my first Red Sangria, which was fantastic, but I was picking at the tiny tiny fruit inside it to eat something. I would suggest cutting your fruit a bit larger as well to be able to eat the fruit you kind of have to shift through the ice and get lucky. I did get two, and it tasted so good! Personal preference was extra dressing for the salad ?. You know they sell their own dressing. The second round of food came out a lot faster. No dessert, and I had to tell the server twice, "I can't go to the gym after eating dessert ?.“
