“Pollo Tropical St. Lucie drive through. I had the 1/4 chicken with side of rice and black beans. The sides were ample, and mixing the rice & beans was excellent. The rice is starchy and holds together good. The chicken was well done and the skin was crispy yet not dry inside. A roll was included. The second dish was Tropi-chop chicken in bowl. “I stopped in and ordered Popeye’s new chicken wings and selected Garlic Parmesan. They are the best of its kind that I have ever eaten. Six wings/drumsticks smothered in sauce with a little spice. The interior is pretty modern compared to the more traditional decor at the 25th St. Popeye’s in Ft. Pierce but the food and service was great. Seating capacity could use some correction. I had the fish ceviche to start, never had sweet potatoes in a ceviche; that was a nice touch! The smokey mezcal tequila paloma was phenomenal! Had chicken, pork & steak tacos for my entree.
