Best cuban I've ever had... and it was less than 10 bucks. Rest area near Port St. Lucie, keep it up!

Usually I am not one to write a negative review, especially, about a place located at a rest stop. This location though is a disaster. Without writing too much, they dropped my sandwich on the floor, I saw them and the lady said, “the floor is clean”!and the wrapper is on.” Uh no, I’ll take another sandwich. They pulled the I’ll take it to the back and say it was new. It’s an open concept, I saw them give me the same sandwich. The girl with the tattoos and piercings is like I’m not making another. This place is not for sane minded, sanitary people. I sent a correspondence to their corporate entity and I’ve called my credit card company to complain and halt the charge, being that I don’t eat off the floor, I’m not paying for what I didn’t eat. Avoid this place unless you want to chance eating something unsanitary.

The first time I enjoyed fare from Earl of Sandwich was during a weekend trip to Disney Springs. Formerly known as Downtown Disney, my crew and I were looking for a place that was more filling than the typical sandwalk restaurants but not overly fancy with a large price tag. That is when we discovered Earl of Sandwich. It was the most crowded restaurant along Disney's strip, maybe because the food is delicious and filling, yet it had prices that wouldn't massacre your checking account... well... in terms of prices compared to anything else in Disney. Imagine my surprise when I came across Earl of Sandwich here in this rest area, all because I wanted to find the area's only geocache. Yep. I had a geeky reason to be here, and now I have more of a reason to return. There really wasn't a line because it was kind of early in the morning, but since I work overnights, everyone elses' morning is my afternoon. The restaurant gave off a "restaurant in a mall food court" vibe because it was set up like that. However, the rest area looks far more fanciful than any normal mall food court. The sandwiches are compact yet filling. I assume it is the bread. The flavor is good in general, too. I will say depending on preference, the sandwiches are a hit or miss not because they aren't delicious, but would you justify a $9 pricetag for a sandwich that is no smaller than 6 inches but no bigger than 8 inches? That depends on you. Overall, not bad and far better than some other cheap options. I will say that I want to try all the sandwiches to give this Earl of Sandwich location a fair shake of a review. But for now, I will say it is a-okay, maybe half a star more if I were able to give such a rating.

Service was slower than expected, with a 20-minute wait for a small sandwich. Unfortunately, there was also an issue with the order accuracy. It seemed that the kitchen staff were quite relaxed, despite the busy atmosphere in the restaurant, leading to some customer frustration.

The girl giving the food made a mistake on calling numbers and then she proceeded to be rude with the customers telling them that she was not wrong when the customers were complaining about.

The fourth Earl of Sandwich was nobleman John Montagu. Legend has that in 1762 he was playing cards and did not want interrupt the game to get food. Instead he asked for a serving of roast beef to be placed between two slices of bread which could be eaten with his hands. Another story has him fighting the French and with no time to feed the troops and he asked that a piece of boiled beef be placed between bread. Either way the sandwich was invented changing the lunch time landscape forever. The 11th Earl of Sandwich, a descendant of John Montagu and also named John Montagu capitalized on his ancestors invention and along with his son and Robert Earl from Planet Hollywood, founded a sandwich shop based in Orlando, Florida. A bit of irony, the Fourth Earl of Sandwich/s son is named Orlando. The first restaurant opened on March 19, 2004, in Disney Springs and there are now 38 restaurant including internationally. Traveling to Orlando, Earl of Sandwich has become a favorite food stop on the Florida Turnpike. This restaurant is located at Port St. Lucie/ Fort Pierce rest stop. On this visit we tried the Earl's Club made with turkey, bacon, swiss, lettuce, Roma tomato, and sandwich sauce and the Full Montagu with roast beef. turkey, swiss, cheddar, lettuce, Roma tomato, and Earl's mustard sauce. Both were good but we preferred the club. Next time I'll try the original roast beef, cheddar, and horseradish sauce. I love how the sandwiches are toasted and come out hot. They also sell chips, cookies, and beverages. You can get a fresh tasting, hand held meal quickly and get back on the road or enjoy it at one of the tables in the service plaza. The sandwiches are very filling but not light on calories at around 880 calories each but they are delicious and make a great road trip treat.

Hey listen, I know it's not gourmet dining or anything spectacular. But this place makes a decent sandwich much better than Panera bread. I grabbed the roast beef turkey panini . It was tasty. Service was a little slow but they only had one person working. I don't know about their claim of being the world's best sandwich stuff. They need to fix that

Awfully slow, half the menu was not available, sandwiches were put together in the most mediocre manner. This Chicken Kitchen next door for a better meal.

Forgot to make my order when I stood there waiting for it for 10 mins.... Then gave me the wrong order completely when they finally remembered to make it.

No veggie sandwiches or the caprese, very disappointing. The lady was very nice and made me an impromptu veggie sandwich. Please bring the vegetarian sandwiches back to this location.
