“If you're reading this comment GO TO THIS RESTAURANT ASAP!!!! The food is AMAZING! The service is fantastic, thx Yari! The ambiance, restaurant, can't wait to go back! We ordered the Columbian beer and the picada for 2, it was a LOT of yummy food with plenty leftover. A great addition to Riverview.“
“One word, AMAZING! I was hungry late night and decided I wanted some Spanish cuisine. I ordered two shrimp empanadas, the mofongo with pork carnitas, and chicken chicharron with tostones on the side. Everything was authentic. The mofongo had a garlicky taste and paired perfectly with the pork. The chicharron chicken was still crispy when I got home and let me tell you we will be going back. I also noticed when I went to pick up the food there was some a night club with beautiful women inside dancing. I'm very happy with my experience at La Casa del Chimi! Thank you!“
“The food is decent, but the restaurant is loud and the staff can leave you waiting. While our waitress was super nice, it took us close to 20 minutes to flag her down to get our check. I really enjoyed the burrito loco - it's fried and covered in a couple of different sauces. Ask for the spicy salsa. It's fantastic.“
“OMG You need to try everything on the menu. You will not find anything this good in the area, some of this is the chefs own recipes. It is So Fresh & So Flavorful, like an explosion in your mouth! Meats are so tender. Maduros (plantains) are juicy and moist - the best in all of Tampa. Sandwiches and meals feed TWO the servings are so huge. Sauces and toppings are made fresh daily using fresh herbs. Burgers and fries all the way to Tropical food - it's all AMAZING. Don't forget to try their Fresh fruit drinks!!! All the platers are great - I am working my way thru the whole menu. Everything has been 5 Star+. Shaded eating area, Nicest owners. Check out the daily specials and desserts too.“
“If we could give this place 10 stars we would! The food here is top quality & it’s consistent. This place is our go to for quick delicious Mexican food & pupusas. The owner is super welcoming & attentive & cares about his customers. This place is a must try!“
“My son and I went there for the first time with his older sister’s family. It’s a buffet style in the sense that they have the food out where you can see it but they make the plate for you. Sandwiches are made to order. The food was good. It has a typical diner seating area where we sat to eat. The place was quite busy.“
“The worker are very nice although she speaks Spanish she types on her phone in English to tell me my price and things i want to add or take off i love how sweet she is the cook is very nice also i go there all the time the cuban sandwiches are so good better then other sandwich shops i say go there all the food is good“
“I'm guessing it's a different owner because this isn't the name of the restaurant. It's Puntacana and food was good. The ribs were delicious and I regret not getting more. We sat on the deck to eat and watched the cats play.“
“This is a small restaurant where they serve up your food at the counter and you can have it "to go" or eat in. The menu was up behind the counter. It was all in Spanish, so the server told us what was available. We were there around 2 and they close at 3, so some things were sold out. We had a roast pork dinner. The amounts served of each item were very generous and it was absolutely delicious! We ate in, and when we went to pay the women were dancing in the kitchen area so my husband started dancing. We all laughed. Overall a wonderful experience!“
“It’s a family friendly place, my wife and I just moved to the area and we found this place. Food was excellent, with a very good taste and capped the dinner off with Cafe con leche and an expresso. This place is run by husband and wife operation. Will definitely come again.“
