“Wanna feel like you're back home in the NY come here. This is a real old fashioned breakfast place with the friendliest staff. The walls are adorned with Yankee, Giants and first responder pictures . Whenever we walk in we get treated like old friends. You want hash ? You want fried eggs? You can get it here & even more. They serve a great breakfast but also salads & lunch. This is a no frills get it like you want it place. They have a busy counter where the owner cook interacts with local folks about all that's going on in this busy & growing area. Great hot coffee with free refills too. Welcome home!“

“We came here for a late lunch a few weeks ago and thought the food was great. The service was a bit slow in the beginning. It was “Seat Yourself” seating and took a while for someone to come over and acknowledge us and ask what we want to drink. Everything was fine after that. We’ll be back!“

“I have been coming to Salsas regularly since it opened! Mexican food is my love language and no matter what other places in St Johns or Duval we try Salsas at Durbin has our heart! I always ask for the server Lizbeth as she takes great care of me and my family of seven! She always remembers us, what we like, and manages to make us feel special even when she may have many other tables to tend too! “My wife and I had the Black and Blue Burger, Southwest Burger, onion rings, and sweet potato waffle fries. Oh my goodness! Best burgers we've had in Jacksonville. The burgers were messy, but absolutely delicious. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy, as were the onion rings. We now have our favorite Burger joint. My only criticism is there are no salt and pepper shakers on the tables or hot sauce. It's annoying to ask the cooking staff for these. Otherwise perfect!“

“I'm originally from Miami and whenever I'm missing "home" I head over to 1928 Cuban Bistro. The staff are friendly and polite, the food is fresh, hot and authentic. The location is quaint, clean and bright. I've visited 3 of their locations and the service is consistent across all of them - that lets you know they're doing it right! I'll be back again soon!“

We were a qroup of four adults, (two with special diets), one deaf, one that asks too many questions, a very "picky" teenager, and a very picky pre-teen. Total of six in our group. All meals were prepared exactly to our speciciations and needs. We were seated quickly, (we were probably a little loud,) but were attended to with patience, happy smiles and wonderful, well prepared food and service with perfection. “This is a good spot for pizza and apps. Fridays, they have live music, which is nice and not overbearing. I usually get good service, but recently, due to being busy, servers seem a little frustrated. Still not bad though. I recommend trying the spinach dip and meatballs. If they tell you pizzas are taking 45 minutes to cook its more like 20. I think it's to try and give the kitchen a break or to catch up on busy nights.Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is good for kids and booths are big enough to let them be kids.“

Ordered asparagus roll ($5.50) that I had never had before, but I figured might have cream cheese or something more than just asparagus, rice, and seaweed, but I cannot be disappointed in something I had never ever had anywhere.However, the biggest disappointment was in the cuke salad for ($5.95). All that was in the bowl was cuke, sesame seeds and vinegar. I was glad there were no onions, but there was nothing else in the bowl to make it a "salad". Tomato would have been nice, maybe garlic, carrot, or even maybe some sliced cabbage, but it was just cukes.I was happy about the amount of cukes in the bowl. That was a plus.“
