“A restaurant that has great food, is casual, and has a staff that makes you feel welcome, is a perfect find. Grandpa’s Schnitzel is on my “always” list for just that reason. Any time I’m in town, I always go there. Normally, several times. The father/son duo make some amazing schnitzel and other delicious side dishes. They normally also have some additional tempting German specialties as well. The 6-item Sides Sampler, is perfect for our vegetarian daughter. The apple strudel may be very tempting, but the Zwetschgenkuchen (plum cake) is amazing. All to be enjoyed with a tasty German beer. There are several German restaurants in Sarasota, but only this one qualifies for my “always” list. Say hello to Alex while you’re there.“

“A Taste of Germany is amazing! We’ve been there a couple times and were really impressed with the quality of their food. Their liquor cakes are to die for! If you find yourself in the Sarasota/Siesta Key area, you have to stop at A Taste of Germany. You’ll be very glad you did!“
“Small cozy restaurant, tucked away ( almost hidden) in the corner of Bradenton Commons strip plaza anchored with a Publix off Cortez.A chef couple owned and operated with super friendly service. Although the menu has a wide selection, I have repeatedly enjoyed all their versions of schnitzel.Great place to eat.“
“Quirky but fun little German eatery in Sarasota. Appears popular with a lot of locals. Small but genuine German food on their menu. We did not have time for a full meal but had a delightful charcuterie plate and a large fresh pretzel. Beautiful flowered arbor of buganvilia and fresh flowers on every table.“
