“We catered a Mardi Gras community event last weekend using Shiny Gumbo as our caterer. The folks at the event were very happy with the Gumbo & Jambalaya served. I found Leigh the owner to be very accommodating and helpful in planning our event. I would definitely recommend this local family business if you were looking for authentic New Orlean food.“

“From the outside the restaurant does not look very attractive, however when you enter it has a family atmosphere and the person who serves is a very friendly lady. The dishes are very homemade and delicious. They also sell Jamaican drinks and the food prices are reasonable.“

“There are not words to express how good this place is. The food is top notch. Everything made in house. The owner is incredible. And so kind and brought us free drinks because we chose to sit outside on a hot day :). We will come back as often as we can. Great Job!“
