Where to begin... came here over a year ago. On my list it was my 3rd best wings in the area. Was excited to come back. However, todays visit was a catastrophe. The restaurant had a sewer smell that they admitted was an " ongoing problem". We moved our table close to the front door to mitigate the issue. Ordered one beer.., flat. Ordered a different beer that was also flat. I gave up at that point. The waitress seemed to avoid the table and the food was mediocre, at best. How this is a 4.3 star place I don't know. Go to wolves head, Outback, or casa de pizza. This place has been run into the ground. I don't like writing these, but my advice is to go elsewhere.

Smelled like a sewer when we walked in. Had to move further from the bathrooms. Chose to stay but probably should have left. Only got worse. Beer (2 different kinds) were served flat, burnt my son's pizza, and forgot one of our guests order. Wings were good, the forgotten Philly was good, poutine was good but the pizza was burnt and it was difficult to get our servers attention. Do not go here. They did comp the pizza and gave additional discount but never should have left the kitchen that way. And flat beer IS avoidable.

We were in search of a restaurant near the movie theater and listened to our fellow helpers... it worked out!!Fish n chips had good flavor and were more than filling! Cheeseburger was kinda plain but good flavor on the meat. Kids meals were free with an adult entree because it was Sunday! Not very busy, service was fine, but a little short. Overall, 4 stars for the food, quick service and clean!

I went in with my daughter for lunch last Thursday, I was greeted my a nice lady who was also very funny, in a “New York” kind of way. We loved her style, very witty, like family, anyway, I ordered a chicken nacho and my daughter, buffalo wings and fries. My nachos were some of the best nachos I’ve had in a long time. Lots of shredded chicken, well seasoned might I add. And a great pile of chips, melted cheese and good nacho stuff, guacamole, sour cream, salsa. Killer Nachos! My daughters wings were also perfect! Crispy, juicy and hot. Great Job Public House! We Love You! Cap’n Doug

We came last night (Thursday) for the burger special that we heard about. Good deal at $8 for a burger and fries. Unfortunately it was way overcooked. My husband and I both asked for them to be medium. They were both well done. The fries are tasty though. We each had a beer. Check was just about $30. Service was good at the bar. They were having issues with the wifi. We weren't able to access our phones for internet or calls. That's not such a bad thing once in a while, but I know it was frustrating to those working there.

So I will preface this by saying that I ordered this through Uber Eats, and I will also say that 2 out of the 3 items I ordered were good. However, the burger that I ordered was supposed to be medium, and I would have been fine if it was under or overcooked from that. My issue is that the burger itself was almost fully raw on the inside somehow despite the outside of the burger being cooked.Once again, everything else was good but the fact that I was sent a raw burger was not something I could really reconcile with the rest of the meal.

Amazing! We have visited on two separate occasions and the food and service have been impeccable! The Thursday night hamburger special is fantastic! The sides are large. Great atmosphere, clean, efficient and a great meal for your money!
Very consistent food, especially the burgers. Cold beer with a good selection avail. Staff is always friendly, although they could use 1 or 2 more bodies (but who can't these days?!).It's a go-to spot for us.

This is my 1st time ordering from The Public House. I had a mac & cheese with grilled chicken. I was not impressed at all. The taste was bland and then I found a black hair in the mac & Cheese. Needless to say the rest of the food was trashed. I will give them another chance, but will not be ordering the mac and cheese

This place is a favorite of my in laws. And it’s now my favorite spot I’ve eaten in Sarasota and Siesta Key area over the last few years. It’s easily the best food quality. You could tell that each item we had was fresh made and not just reheated. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it looked too large when they brought it out. But it was just thinly pounded chicken breast. The Buffalo sauce was the perfect amount of heat. And their house made chips was incredible! Will definitely be a regular stop here on out when we visit!Kid-friendliness: They had plenty of options for our two children and we’re flexible on the children’s somewhat pickiness

Really. Good. Food. Kid friendly. Good beer. Awesome menu. Grouper…. delicious. Kids Mac n cheese was so good I wanted to order it myself! The corned beef Sammy wash chunks of corned beef!!! The french dip and the Philly both were shaved prime rib and fantastic. Wish we could make this a regular place but we’re just visiting, we’ll be back next time we’re here though!
