“My family was recently in town for a swim meet. We ordered delivery from here 4 times to our hotel room. After two sessions daily (6:15 am - 4 pm) of the meet we were exhausted and just needed to get delivery. The food was AWESOME. They always gave an ETA for the delivery and the delivery drivers were so nice. The bread for their subs are so fresh and sweet. My kids are picky with pizza and they LOVED it. We traveled from Maryland and we cannot wait to come back next year. Definitely getting delivery again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Nevertheless, things moved along quickly and we got our order in and got a table. The staff members were all very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The coffee was very good. For food a Jam-on-It Sandwich which was quite nice. We also had a berry yogurt bowl. The yogurt was delicious and the fruit and granola on it were great. “So this is a pseudo Lolita's review. It's one of our favorite restraunts ever in St. Petersburg. We saw that they were doing the food for one of the tables at WUSF's Longest Table. 5 courses with wine and champagne pairings.
It was exquisite!! The courses were so flavorful and innovative We were floored! We asked if they were a foreshadowing of what was to come at the restraunt and they just smiled and gave my husband and I a hug!
The restraunt is a wonderful experience. We recommend the short ribs and the dates!

Combined with good food and great friendly service, it's a great stop in St Petersburg whether you stay at the hotel or not. Some good daily specials, for both food and drink. Again came face to face with NAM (which stands for Not A Moose, from what I overheard! He's a caribou!) who overlooks the bar. This place is worth a visit if you've never been here!”

I’m admittedly terrible with names, but I believe it was Julian who guided us through the kombucha selections with expertise and enthusiasm. His recommendations were spot on, making the whole experience even better. Oh, and just when I thought things couldn’t get tastier, a food vendor was serving up Mexican-style tamales and street food on our last visit. The pairing? Chef’s kiss. Nevertheless, the snapper was a generous piece and nicely cooked. The sauce on it was delicious. The risotto, however, was on the gummy side when it should have had a silky texture. “Review of Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille St. Pete Pier We ventured from the Hyatt Place to Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille on foot as a group, which allowed us to enjoy each other's company and the beautiful St. Petersburg Pier at night. The walk was short and pleasant, enhancing our overall experience. Upon arrival, we were fortunate to secure an immediate reservation for a table for seven, even though the restaurant was bustling. Our server, Noah, was exemplary. He swiftly took our drink and appetizer orders, managing our table and others with remarkable efficiency and a friendly demeanor. We began with two dozen oysters on the half shell, which impressed even our Louisiana-native friends accustomed to seafood. They declared these oysters the best, largest, and freshest they had ever tasted, enhanced by a variety of sauces and hot sauces provided at the table. Doc Ford's offered an array of island-themed drinks, including non-alcoholic versions for our group member in recovery. I opted for the dry rub ribeye, cooked perfectly to my preferred temperature, accompanied by mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak's charred exterior added a delightful flavor while keeping it juicy. Two of our team members ordered the seafood hiatus, a generous portion of shrimp, fish, and other seafood, which they enjoyed immensely. Other team members praised the ribs and fresh shrimp dishes, all of which were excellently prepared. As the evening progressed and the restaurant emptied, we enjoyed engaging conversations with Noah and other staff members. We shared a memorable moment watching the University of Tennessee baseball team win in the College World Series. This interaction, along with a shared appreciation for Drew Talbert's Bistro Huddy videos, made for a memorable night. Our visit to St. Petersburg for the Southern Lock & Supply Learning Expo and Trade Show was a success, and our evening at Doc Ford's created lasting memories.
