“This is one of those brunch spots that have been up at the top for some time and I have put off visiting it for a long time. I'm glad to finally have made the visit for brunch and I knew I was in for a great experience. From the beginning as you walk into the restaurant, the decorated entrance is a warm welcome and the rooftop seating is comfortable. I'm also a very big fan of the boxes on each table to store your phones to make sure you're enjoying the experience full 100% with your party. Love those little details!I ordered the Mexican ox tail tacos which come as two tacos - small but delicious x100! These seem to be the most popular app according to the waitress and online reviews and I have to say these are 5-star worthy! The chicken and waffles on the main course is also in the same 5-star club! Warm, juicy, generous portions and so filling! We had several plates to share to all the tables, and I have always given a pass and the benefit of the doubt to a restaurant for any lack of quality of the food when visiting on a party, since it is kind of rough for the kitchen/servers to bring the food to everybody with a hugh consistency in presentation , temperature and flavor. The drinks aren’t the cheapest and there is no menu, but the views are nice and you can relax with friends or party with the same furor, they have different events that are fun to watch and enjoy.I would rate the CC a five, but the food options, namely the taco place is absolutely HORRENDOUS. I paid $16 for two al pastor tacos that were so flavorless it sobered me up. If you find yourself needing medical help, try one of their tacos and you’ll be so upset you’ll forget whatever ailed you. They just take meat from the freezer and put it on a grill, no salt, no pepper, nothing! I think there should be a rotating list of food vendors because there’s a lot of hardworking upcoming restaurants that won’t serve $2 swill for $20. The hostess told us we can go inside, we walked in and it was a hidden speakeasy practically with a bar and dj. We were able to order food at the bar and have a seat. Our bartender/server Alex was phenomenal. He was very attentive and made superb cocktails. My espresso martini was delicious. My husband and I shared a couple of dishes. My favorite was the lobster roll. It was so fresh and had a decent amount of meat squished into the potato roll. It was seasoned in old bay aioli, so much flavor in each bite. The octopus we ordered was very tender and had a garlic yogurt sauce, served on a bed of couscous. The French fries had a lemon essence to it, I ate almost all of them even though I was full because they were that good. We also ordered wagyu tacos and the meat was very soft, it seems to have been slow cooked. Overall, I highly recommend this spot. It's a cute spot by the Miami Shores area with convenient free parking in the back. You have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as at the bar area. The staff is super kind and provides good service. We ordered the Mahi Mahi sandwich - it comes on a brioche bun with pikliz, tomato, lettuce and a side of house made fries. This sandwich is perfectly delicious and the fries are so so fresh. I ordered a side of garlic aioli which was also tasty. We also ordered the broccolini. It is one of the best broccolini's I've had. The flavors with the fresh garlic and balsamic is amazing. We've gotten an IPA and a gin cocktail before and both have been really good. I love the decor and layout of the restaurant. It truly makes it welcoming and comfortable. They also offer brunch during the weekends which I want to try! Prices are fair and portions are good. You can really taste how fresh everything is.
