Do NOT ever eat at Gordos Cuban RestaurantThey do NOT take legal tender on Sundays! It is NOT posted anywhere at the restaurant.I sent my 16year old with a $100 bill to pay for our food and they would not take it. We call the resturant and the manager Lilly was extremely disrespectful to my minor child. Told him "you had mommy and daddy call to try and help you".Horrible management and pathetic service.How can you refuse cash??? Legal tender!

We were from out of town and decided to give this place a shot. This is more of a dive bar disguised as a Cuban restaurant. Probably the worst black beans I’ve ever had. Service sucked. Food came out luke warm. We had 3 kids with us and they were playing music with profanity and had to tell them to change it. If you’re Hispanic like me and used to this type of cuisine, you will definitely be disappointed. Would not recommended.

Was recommended to try this…I don’t really like leaving bad reviews especially on a local spot but I sat for like 20-30 mins without someone even asking me if i wanted anything. I tried to flag severs down, didn’t work.Might need to try again and see if it improves, but don’t think I’ll be back in Tally for awhile.

The food is good but we experience a 1 hour delay for our sandwiches. Somebody screw-up in our order. I'm not sure if it was the waitress or the kitchen, but the order was not what we ordered. Anyway they make an apology and a discount 50%.

This sunday we decided to go to Gordos for the all you can drink mimosa sunday and immediately was welcomed by Holly. She is an outstanding server who knows menu so well that she can recommend any alternatives to the menu. She works every sunday and I highly recommend requesting her to be your server! So impressed and she deserves the world
Food was terrible.. my chicken is overcooked & rubbery tasting. I got the black beans, rice, tostones & grilled chicken. Best thing on my plate was the plain white rice. & I kid you not I think there was a french fry piece floating in my beans. Worst $20 spent.

I miss nothing about Tallahassee except this restaurant. This place is where my (now husband) had many dates, where we cultivated our love for each other over delicious bistec empanizado with fluffy white rice and seasoned beans. This place has a lot of wonderful memories for me, the food was always solid. Service as well. It was a home away from home for me. Thank you Gordo’s for being a Cuban staple in Tallahassee for me ? Attached is the last time I was ever there and I miss it

Food is really good but service and take out has always been disorganized. Recently when an order got screwed up management made everything right.
