This is a fun sushi concept that serves decent (but not great) sushi as well as other Japanese dishes. You essentially either order from a screen located at your table and get the plate zoomed over to you on the top conveyor belt or you may grab one of the many readily available plates from the bottom belt. All plates are priced the same unless an entree is specifically priced differently (ie ramen) so as you finish eating you drop the plates into the bin and that's how they charge you. Dessert was ok too, the Japanese doughnuts were a bit boring and you don't get a choice of ice cream, only vanilla.

After I had first discovered this chain while visiting Seattle, I was so happy that one was coming to Tampa! The concept/novelty is cute and makes it fun to have food delivered on a track. The food is decent, you get what you pay for. Be mindful that some items may have been rotating for some time and are not as fresh. It's highly unfortunate that, because the place is incredibly cramped, there was 1. No self driving robots to deliver your drinks! Those robots are part of the fun experience. And 2. You have to "check in" inside then be made to wait outside. God forbid it's raining, like it was when I visited, as you have to stand under the mall entrance overhang because there's no room to wait inside. Incredibly poor design, whoever did the layout of this place needs to go back to the drawing board lol. Another small disappointment is the chefs not being able to keep up with orders. (Or maybe short staffed) I went during lunch and it wasn't terribly busy, however I didn't get the opportunity to try the monthly specials as they were not filled. Or if they were, they were snatched by someone else quickly every time and there's no option to order it on the tablet. Overall, expect to come here with mid to lower expectations. It's one of those places to bring your kid for a nice lunch or a one time experience. Or even great for someone wanting to try something different and isn't the biggest sushi fan. It could've certainly been done better, the food is sub par (don't waste your time with the ramen) and it's tricky getting some items that you want. Walking out the door was a hefty $70 lunch.

First time at revolving sushi. Was fun to try. The food was sub-par. Some of the items coming around on the conveyor belt looked like they'd been there for WAY too long.. One in particular was a tuna dish that was completely brown & dried out like old leather. Really should have been pulled from the belt! But it kept circling. The good thing is you can custom order directly to your table. It was a cute place to try, but will not be back. Lack of variety coming around on the belt, most of the trays were empty, it looked like the kitchen could not keep up with the orders coming in & the belt going around. The restaurant wasn't full either. Maybe they were understaffed. Also very overpriced for the quality.

I am not a fan of sushi.. but I am a huge fan of KURA. This would be my one and only choice if anyone suggested sushi. Not only is every bite delicious, but the prices are decent. If I'm feeling adventurous, I can always try something I would normally never get.. if I like it, great, if I don't, no money went down the drain because the other piece would be eaten by my partner. The service is always amazing and I still haven't had anything I didn't love. If you're like me and sushi is not your go to, trust me, this is your spot. There is something for everyone.

This is a one time for the experience and that's it, in my opinion. The sushi was meh, there was nothing memorable or special besides the fact that the sushi is on a revolving belt.

Reminds me of a strip club. The sushi goes past you slowly and If you like it, pull it closer. :)If you don't want it, just let it pass by, because it will be back later.Seriously, I love this place. Bring your kids and grandparents. Everyone will have a great time. And if you eat 15 plates, you get a prize

Sushi is pretty good and reasonably priced. The place is very small, so be prepared for a wait if you're going at a peak time. Service is minimal since everything is on the device at your table, but employees were attentive as needed and answered our questions! The gimick of the conveyor belt provides a fun and different vibe.

My friend and I came for lunch, and arrived as soon as it opened, so even though we still had to sign in electronically, we were able to be sat right away. The food immediately started coming around the bottom conveyor belt, but I loved that they also had an electronic menu, so you could see what the offerings would be, or even order specialty items that wouldn't be on the conveyer belt. I ordered 2 different kinds of sashimi, and in no time, those arrived on the top conveyor belt. What a cool, fun system! While the sushi is not the best I've ever had in Tampa, it was good. The rolls came out as 3 pieces to a plate-the one I tried was just okay. You pay by the plate - I think it was $3.55 for the conveyor belt plates, and then roughly $4.50 per plate for the sashimi I ordered. We also had a friendly server who provided our sodas, and explained anything we had questions on. You can check out at the table, but we wanted to pay separately, so a server had to do that for us. All in all a great experience, although my friend did have a bit of a battle in the restroom trying to get the bidet to turn off. A story for another time...

Dont go 1.5 hours before closing. just a bunch of empty plates going around and pieces that look like its been there for hours. Also the end of the night, they serve you poor food like cold edamame and burnt crispy rice. The icing on the cake. The poor management. They tell the servers to tell the customers the cut off time 5 mins after the cut off time. Cut off time 9:10… was told at 9:15… What a joke.

I'd estimate 95% of the items on the belt were empty. I asked for a hot tea and sugar. They brought artificial sweetener and I was like, oh you have no sugar? And the very rude female server snatched the sweetner out of my hand. I asked that she take it off my bill. Of course we get the bill and it wasn't taken off. Sushi was horrible. Got a shrimp tail in one of them. Expensive. Overall not worth it. Won't be coming back.

Good experience. Sushi is fresh lots of selections to try. Host/ server can be more attentive and not assume guest knows the process. It was my first time going here and had to figure out everything. Host sat us and left as is. But food was awesome!!

Been meaning to leave this review but a few weeks back we came here to eat and the sever Tabatha, (I think that's her name) but she's black, kinda short and wears glasses. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but she had the most nastiest, rude attitude towards us, we even over heard her complaining about how she hated working there and didn't want to serve anyone and she appeared to be high on drugs from the look in her eyes or something because her pupils were big as olives and not normal looking and she was acting real jittery....she was definitely high on something though, we assumed cocaine but probably was weed too since she smelled like weed but then again, weed does not make your pupils big, other certain drugs do that. Now the other server was professional and kind but that girl Tabatha should choose another job because her attitude is horrible and disrespectful. No one is making you work there so if you don't like your job, find another job instead of coming to work and taking your personal issues out on the customers. Tabatha was just real nasty towards us. How she is working there is beyond me ? guess she was having a bad day but that's still no excuse to treat guests nasty. Despite that the food was delicious ??

Don't get the Ramen here it's terrible. They look good in the pictures, but they taste like something else and they're small. The Tonkotsu Ramen has too much Garlic. They should rename it to Garlic Ramen. And the Miso soup is too salty. Almost like they mixed up Shio and Miso Ramen together. Yes it sounds and tastes terrible. I still ate it anyways. Just get the revolvong sushi. At least thats good. But if I had to choose a sushi place, I would only come here because of the revolving gimmick. Oh but the Taiyaki Ice Cream was absolutely the best!!

I think the dishes you order taste a bit better than the revolving door sushi, but all the dishes I tried were tasty. The atmosphere is fun. Getting a little prize when you eat so many dishes reduces the faux guilt lol. Everything tasted really fresh. Opening the doors for sushi can be a bit tricky, but it's a fun part of the experience. I'll definitely return.
