Taqueria El Chavo INC

I’ve been craving a taco salad for a few days and I enjoyed one tonight. Taqueria el Chavo,the hole in the wall near Yummy’s donuts was a Mexican place I had not tried. The fried tortilla bowl was perfect. Ground beef, rice beans, lettuce, sour cream, pico, guacamole was fresh and properly portioned. It was attractive and delicious. Many times a restaurant that isn’t the prettiest on the outside turns out to have the most amazing and memorable food. It’s a typical hole-in-the-wall story, but Taqueria El Chavo did not suffice to this title.As fun as well-decorated businesses are, I don’t try to judge them based on that. If I did, this place would quickly have lost all interest. It was barren and pretty dirty, and the lighting was pretty dark.We sat down and it took quite awhile to be served.
