The service at the Citron Bistro is beyond terrible . We were seated at our table and 15 minutes passed without even being acknowledged. The whole evening was extremely disappointing. We were served our appetizer without any silverware and no acknowledgment that it would be brought to us. After almost 2 hours we canceled our dinner order when the manager came out to tell us it would be yet another 15 minutes for our entrees to arrive. Needless to say we won’t be back and would advise anyone thinking about going “ BUYER BEWARE”.

We had an early reservation and were greeted and drinks came promptly. Food was really good but took a long time to order. Once we made up our minds it had suddenly become very busy. As others mentioned it appears to be understaffed. Our waiter was professional and exceptional. Once we ordered our food the food came promptly and was very hot and delicious.The only thing was we were asked to leave for the next reservation so no offer of coffee or dessert. Looks like it’s a fairly 2 hour limit, which isn’t much for 4 people having appetizers and main courses with alcohol.Would go again, maybe not in high season???

Citron Bistro is my go to for lunch with a friend. We always have impeccable service, the selection and specials are varied and interesting, and our food was excellent as always. Our server was attentive but not overwhelming. She could see we wanted to chat with each other and checked in periodically but didn't rush us.

Service was absolutely awful. We waited forever for a waiter to come to the table then our meals were served and we had to wait at least another 5 minutes for silverware while the food was getting cold. The table was never set with anything when we were sat by the host. Each time we complained everyone blamed it on the fact that it had rained. Frankly your customers do not care what the reason is for poor service. You should take responsibility and not continually make excuses- this is definitely unacceptable. Additionally the food was only OK; one of the specials was corned beef hash which I expected to be homemade but was very obviously just emptied out of a can. I have been to this restaurant many, many times over the years but I do not plan to ever return.

We had a very good meal a few weeks ago but this time it was disappointing. The mussels bathed in a very uninteresting sauce (compared to the last time) and my wifes shrimps, supposedly 'blackened' were comparatively tasteless.......The desert also was disappointing. What happened?

Outstanding food and service! The shrimp grits were delicious, and the salmon was perfectly prepared! It was a bonus that it was a perfect evening and we enjoyed the outdoor dining.

Our first visit! The menu was very diverse, prices moderate, decor lovely, atmosphere light and bright. Our service staff were wonderful and prompt. We ordered several dishes, mostly salads and one sandwich. All were super tasty, well balanced and everyone ate every bite! Beautiful outdoor patio, but we chose inside which was still quite nice.

This is a great spot in Vero Beach; no other outside space compares. But recently, they are out of a lot of items, both food and beverages. For our last three visits, only beer or wine are available and the beer and wines are limited. The waiter made three trips back to the table to announce they were out of something our table (of 4) ordered. Two of us ordered the lobster ravioli which sounded amazing and was drowning in cream sauce (not so good cream sauce). Still one of our favorite spots but seems to be slipping n
The ambiance is great. It's one of the best restaurant atmospheres in Vero. The food was good. It's been better in the past but there's always going to be an off day. The service was ok, our server talked a lot, about herself. I think she may need a friend. All in all a good experience.

Our server was absolutely wonderful. My guest was a little bit tardy because of traffic and she was so nice in serving me and bringing me iced tea. The cheddar spinach quiche was delightful so lovely. Not to mention we sat beneath the beautiful palm trees this place is a treasure.

Food and the service from our waitress was great. However our greet from I believe to be the MOD was extremely cold. I said “hello” when I walked up and he said “give me a moment.” In a very cold tone. My guest was also greeted the same way as we arrived separately. I was shocked because I had that man as a server before and he was much nicer... it was pretty disappointing. Maybe he was having a hard day but I found his greeting to be very off putting and cold.

The food at Citron Bistro is always excellent. Most of the time the service is, too. This time, however, we had Dylan who, initially, was very good (spoke clearly, recited the specials, very congenial) but then he seemed to get distracted. We had to ask for the "standard" popovers after we noticed other tables being served and we were not; once our glasses were filled, he did not return to keep them filled; he did not stop by after we got our food to see if we needed anything else (although he was very responsive when we flagged him down); didn't fully clean our table off when we were done, even after he gave us the check.

What a lovely dining experience! We enjoyed the cafe outdoor tables under the stars. Soft music playing among elegant shops and the food and wine selection was very pleasant. Nice to enjoy conversation as you can hear the staff, and your company with no loud background noise.
