Best breakfast I have ever eaten!!I Googled breakfast restaurants near me and found Big John's Eatery. I ordered the breakfast bowl with grits. It had scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon and sausage. The grits are to die for!! The service was outstanding. The staff are friendly and really sweet. You feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. John walked the dining room and introduced himself and spoke with everyone, told us a little about the place. Overall an excellent experience. Great food, reasonable prices. I will definitely be back for more.

We ordered takeout for brunch on the beach and the food was still very yummy! Big John was there to greet customers at the door and was very friendly and cool. The food came out still very good and crispy even though we waited to eat (even changed my girlfriend’s opinion on grits). The only negative I could think of is that it took around 15 mins to get our food, but we didn’t mind and there’s some areas to sit around outside and chill. Overall really good!!! 5 starsVegetarian options: i can’t remember but i think there was vegetarian options. although, most of the really yummy foods are probably going to be containing meat or dairy.Dietary restrictions: i’m sure you could get something here for keto and healthier optionsKid-friendliness: it is child friendly but there is mostly older folk in the restarauntWheelchair accessibility: there’s a ramp and you can get in if you are handicapped

I'm from Mass and I come down here to work Jan-April and this is where I go eat every Sun! Sometimes I eat in and get extraordinary service or take out. Either way, this place is Amazing. I love so many dishes here but my fave is the oxtails and grits!! The grits are well seasoned and creamy and the oxtails are tender and off the bone delicious! People, do yourself a favor and eat here bc u will not be disappointed. 5 stars for real?

My first time eating here and the atmosphere was GREAT Me and my son order salmon & grits but received shrimp and grits. Now I ate a scoop of grits and one shrimp it wasn’t bad, it was to much seasoning, so I had to throw it away. My daughter love the Florida boy and my son ate all his shrimp and grits THE BOTH LOVE Big Johns Breakfast and we will be back just give me less seasoning! I still give you 5 ⭐️

The food here is so good, the owner is so nice, the service wasn’t bad but the wait time was very long. We waited over an hour. But the food made up for the wait. I just wish the establishment was bigger. I think that big John’s eatery needs to expand.
