Went for Easter Brunch. The food was cold, some things were stale, no flavor. No desserts. $40 for the meal. Shame on you! They are planning on serving this weekly. Don't waste your time or money. It's money wasted.

Really nice place atmosphere, food prepared particularly well. Service is friendly but otherwise understaffed and slow.

Haven't been to Tropics in years. Out of town friends asked me to meet up there for happy hour. We had a great time. A fun & friendly crowd was there. I'll definitely return.

Food is good. Service needs improvement but very friendly. Room eas full and only 2 waiters which were also bartenders. Extremely understaffed. Live entertainment is very goodKid-friendliness: This is mainly a resturant for senior adults that enjoy live music from years ago. Kids probably would prefer a different atmosphere but entertainment is G or PG, not adult rated

Came in yesterday and ordered meat loaf and I must say idk if they have a new chef but food immediately made me sick after leaving. I’ve never gotten this sick from eating at a restaurant in my life! I’ve been here several times prior to yesterday and never had a compliant. Please get help in the kitchen… food seemed like it was microwaved and was cooked weeks ago plate was extremely hot and food glued to plate.

Lack of consistency with quality is what you get here. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. Hope they can learn to cook NY York steak great ALL THE TIME.

Customer of 25 years. Last year I loved eating at the bar for half price Monday dinner. Beef short ribs, liver and onions, salmon - all cooked nicely with professional bar staff. Really fast service and live entertainment. This year, mushy liver that takes 30-40 minutes. Overwhelmed bar staff that are new (back bar). Food served without utensils, etc. No entertainment unless you count the comedy of the food. Grilled salmon with some glaze was pan fried no glaze. Ordered medium/rare and it came out well. Mixed vegetables was cabbage. I'm serious. The place was packed at 6:30. Maybe live music starts at 7? I called their number which went to voicemail. They will call you back for reservations.I hope this establishment isn't destroyed by management that has lost interest or is in above their heads. I went to Spencer's and had a (homemade) meatball parm sub with fresh steamed broccoli and carrots for $2 more than the half price entree at Tropics. It was fantastic.

Husband and I had our first and last meal here on a Monday night when they offer a half-price menu. You really get what you pay for. Service was indifferent and very slow. My husband ordered the salmon and was served liver and onions! The waiter insisted that’s what he ordered. They did eventually bring him the meal he ordered. Our food tasted like it had sat on a steam table for several hours. And for this culinary experience you have to reserve over a week in advance. No thanks.

The food is good! The waiters are great, but the management needs a lot of work. We made reservations for 8 PM we had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes to be seated which was OK, When we got a table, the table was falling apart, The top was about to tip over, when told them about it, they said “well push it against the wall”, I requested a new table, there were a couple of open tables, which had reservation signs on them, but nobody was sitting on them. They decided to put us on the other end portion of the restaurant, which is not where we wanted to sit, It was near the entry door of the restaurant. That was closed to the main entry door, next to their outdoor seating, and those customers were smoking, so the smoke kept on coming into our section, so it was like sitting next to a smoker. They really need to work on repairing their tables, and on coordinating the reservations. They always seem to have a lot of people waiting for a table, even though most all have reservations.
