“This is my 3rd time coming here and I absolutely love it here. Their dole whip is amazing every flavor I’ve tried, and I love their vanilla swirled in. The staff is amazing and so friendly. I’m so happy we have this little gem in winter haven ?“
“The food was really outstanding. Unexpected for a small town in FL. The atmosphere is simple and pleasant. We started with the deviled eggs that had (cayenne I think) a smooth fill and a fragile greens salad as an accompaniment that made them very tasty. The pickled beet salad wasn't too pickled which brought out the natural flavor. My husband had a thick cut pork chop, prepared perfectly and topped with a traditional chimichurri (not easy to find outside or Miami). A sweet potato purée was an improvement vs. the usual apple flavors. Husband said I had to mention how good it was. I had a chicken piccata special on top of parmesan orzo. There was a little lemon or tang in the sauce. Not a grain remained. Staff was beyond accommodating and knowledgeable, they shared the brunch menu and we're already trying to determine dates when we can make the hour drive to revisit.“
“Wow, just stumbled into this amazing cocktail bar and it blew my mind, especially because it’s in such a small town. The star of the show? EJ. This guy knows his cocktails inside out and is super attentive. He asks the right questions and hooks you up with the perfect drink. Watching him work the room and make everyone feel special was a treat. The vibe here is just right. Whether you’re up for some darts, corn hole, or just wanna chill and chat with friends, they’ve got you covered. It’s obvious the owners and the staff really care about making this place welcoming and fun.Honestly, can’t recommend this spot enough. If you’re around, you’ve gotta check it out. You won’t be disappointed.“
“There are not enough kind things to say about Honeycomb. The food is awesome, everything is made there. The coffee is smooth, I just drink the nirmal drip stuff,The people are friendly. Indoor or outdoor seating. They are a tad pricey compared to non artisinal places but, this is my first choice for breakfast“
“This is a P.Y.O.B. (Pour Your Own Beer) establishment. Open your tab, then with a wrist fob, you select and pour your beer/wine/cider which is measured by the ounce. A casual place with available board games. A great place to relax and enjoy a variety of beverages.“
“We stopped here as we were shopping at different antique stores in town. It was great!! The food was really good. I tried the pink drink and it was so good! It was sweet and refreshing on a warm day! I would highly recommend stopping by and eating here. All the food is made from scratch and the sauces are also all made from scratch. If you get sweet potato fries you MUST get the marshmallow to dip them in!!! I loved the MCM vibe and the staff was kind and friendly!“
“Was that the twisted prop for bike night. Hosted by Harley. Had a great time, lots of people and a great band. Food took a little long to get but that was because there was a lot of people. Would recommend this place for just getting out and hanging out. They always seem to have a great band. Good atmosphere great service indecent food.“
“Jensen's is a great local downtown spot. There's a lot of history to the location for the downtown area. There isn't really food but I counted that as drinks or cocktail menus. You can order a pizza here. It is not flashy. Which is what the locals dig about it. I don't know if I would try to order when they're busy. We don't really go here for the pizza. It is more like drunk food bc this is a bar. The service is great. Friendly local bartenders that put effort into the drink. Enough to make it good. The espresso martinis are made well. The atmosphere is great. Lots of locals and out of towners. Live music often but check the schedule. There's a few bar games around and the patio is awesome. Enjoy!“
“I've always had a good meal with top notch service and love the view. Being from Maryland, I was skeptical to see a Maryland crabcake on the new menu. I must say it was Fantastic! Had a good amount of Lump and little filler. I got the crabcake sandwich. Hope they keep it on the menu and I'll be back for sure!“
“This spot is a local one. They've grown and grown through the years and we love them here. The food is mexican style. The tacos are 1$ still after at least 8 years. Easy ratings. It is a food truck that's permanently parked. They don't try to be anything other than that, and that's what makes them great. There's a wide range of food options. I think they have 15 options give or take. Tamales. Tacos. Nachos. Burritos. Normal fare. All hot and cooked right then. This is a Mexican food truck. If you're expecting more, don't. It is what you expect and I think we all love for that. You'll get some cooked onions, cilantro, and meet with your tacos. Corn tortillas. Verde (green chilies sauce) or rojo (red peppers). Both are spicy. A pepper cooked. A slice of cucumber. There's a few drink options like Arizona tea and mexican coke.Service is just what you'd expect. The people are nice. There is a small language translation. They can speak English well enough to take your order accurately. It is a bit loud outside of the truck between the people, music, and equipment. Then broken English and noise make the ordering exactly what you'd expect. Just deal with it and grab your tacos. If it is an issue for you, don't come to this spot. This is the taco truck. It is what it is and we like it for that. The atmosphere was also described above but to expand, this is just slightly above a parking lot. There are wooden benches to smash the tacos and move on. It can be breath takingly hot. Not in the stunning beautiful way. In the central florida hot way. They have some cover but this is asphalt and road. It'll be hot and have biting bugs at certain points of the day. There'll be road noise and you're in the parking lot of a pawn shop. Again, and for the last time I promise, this is a taco truck. Please don't confuse it for anything else. We enjoy having this spot and they deserve all the best. The tacos are hot, well cooked, and made to order. They're still a dollar after forever and they haven't changed.I love this taco truck and I hope they never change. If you want some street tacos, this is one of the best spots.Vegetarian options: It is mexican food out of a truck, almost everything will have touched a surface with meat. I'm sure you could order only veggies on your food but I wouldn't pick this place to try that out. Better to skip this one if you're very finicky about this.Parking: Plenty of parking. This is in the parking lot of a pawn shop. It kind of shares the space but it is definitely sharing the parking lot with the pawn shop. I am sure the taco truck does far more business than the pawn shop.Kid-friendliness: Depends on if you're sitting down to eat or not. I see people there with their kids all the time but make sure you read the review. It gets hot outside. It is loud. It is near a road and in the parking lot of a business. This is a spot where you eat and move on. You can sit and eat but that's your choice. Having kids there too may suck.Wheelchair accessibility: It would be hard for someone in a wheelchair to order. The window to order is pretty high. I'm assuming since I am not in one but I'm short (5'7") enough to still have to yell into the window myself. I don't know if it is an issue but just be prepared to possibly have to raise your voice significantly. The parking shouldn't be an issue. Or navigating at the table area.“
“Stumbled upon this place on our way to our AirBnb and it happened to be Karaoke Night. First off, the singing was phenomenal! It was like going to an adult American Idol audition! The service was fantastic - all the servers were wonderful and very helpful! Highly recommend this place for a good time and good food!“
“You can enjoy eating at Cypresswood Pub indoors or on their patio. Their dining menu offers many choices including their delightful dinner specials which we recently enjoyed along with their generous portions of food. We sat on the patio and listened to a singer & guitarist who was very talented, but his music volume should be tempered a little to allow for conversation. We will return to this restaurant soon!“
“Great place for sandwiches, wings and pizza. I was one of a group of 12. The seated us all in a quieter area where we could socialize. I had the chili dog with fries and it was very good. It was a enormous hotdog on a sub sized bun topped with chili. The fries I ordered were seasoned and a good complement to the hot dog. One of our group ordered a personal sized pizza and it looked really good. Everyone enjoyed their food and had a great time. The service was excellent. I will be back.“
“Glorious food!! Cooked to order and made with care. There is something for everyone on this menu!Located in a charming old building it has fantastic street parking and friendly staff. My vegan kids and I really enjoyed it, and the 2 non vegans with us were very surprised! Everything is wonderful! Cinnamon rolls and avocado toast were excellent. We were even given a carrot for my teething baby!Such a wonderful place!Vegetarian options: Everything is Vegan!Parking: Easy to find even on weekends!Kid-friendliness: Not a lot of things for them to knock over or break. High chairs available!“
