“Great service. Food is awesome. We had tacos of each of steak, pulled pork, chicken, pork w/red sauce. All very yummy! I had steak quesadilla that was just fabulous. Too full to try the snow cones, but will definitely go back.”

“Went on their date night special! I believe you need a reservation, but don't quote me on that. With the date night you get a free appetizer and dessert, so def worth making time for!We got alligator bites for an appetizer, they were fried and served with a spicy/tangy sauce. One thing I found interesting about the menu is that you choose your meat (chicken, steak cut, pork chop, etc) and then for a small charge, You can upgrade it to be cooked a different way. You don't have to upgrade it, but we decided to. My husband got the pork chops cooked southern style and I got a filet mignon loaded style. His pork chops came with an andouille gravy and two fried cornbread fritters. He told me they were the best pork chops he has ever had. He was absolutely get it again. My steak had mushrooms, onions, and a cheese sauce over mashed potatoes. For the small upgraded charge ($3?) it was totally worth it as you can see in the pictures. I also got a Cesar salad, which I really enjoyed. For dessert we got a berry cobbler and it was hot, and delicious. I would def get that cobbler again. It was a lot of food so we had to take some home.The place is located on the water and has a great view. Perfect for a special occasion! Between the views, food, and service, I would def be back here!”

“Oh, my goodness! Such awesome food! Recommended by the folks at Sweet Citrus Acres RV Park! We are traveling to Tampa and spending the night in Crystal River. Just had Seller's Shrimp and my husband had the Catfish Louisiann! Both of us are very satisfied and have another meal to take home as leftovers! Wow! I don't like beer at all, but the writer assured me I wouldn't taste beer. He was right on. It was delicious! The catfish had a delicious crabcake and etoufe on top that was mouth watering! Highly recommend! Worth the wait! The Seller's Hurricane was also delicious!”

“We heard about The Biscuit Barn through a friend and had to come try it out! Our waitress was super sweet and very quick with our service. We are so glad we stopped in!!! I got "The Barn" specialty biscuit (because how do you go to the biscuit barn and not get a biscuit?). It had bacon, egg, and cheese and I got a side of sausage gravy and boy was it good! The biscuit was buttery and flaky and delicious! We will definitely be back!** Also pictured a Breakfast Scramble with bacon, tomato, spinach, and cheese.”

“Family owned restaurant husband and wife. The service was great. I had the Beef Lumpia for an appetizer and I had their special Walleye blacked with rice and vegetables. The food was out standing. The owner was behind the bar and his wife waited on us who were very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was very nice with brick walls and a tin ceiling. They had all kinds of bottles of wine on the walls and a full bar. There was outside sitting but we chose inside because it was a little too warm outside. We are in down only visiting but would make this a regular to eat at.”

“We came into the Tavern for the first time today and was totally in love with the atmosphere. Food was great, drinks were great and staff was amazing. I had a house margarita with black salt which was so cool, I can’t wait to come back and try ”

“I'm from New York and whenever I come to Crystal River to visit family, I make at least one stop at cattle dog! It's great coffee with fun seasonal drinks, I've never had the same drink twice. Just got a fluffy bunny: toasted marshmallow and caramel. If you don't like the sweet stuff that's fine because again, it's great coffee and they have so many blends. If you enjoy it as much as I do, they have so many kinds of beans in bags to go. They'll grind the beans for you and everything.Food rocks too! The rotation of pastries has a mix of simple and funky options. Lots of yummy sandwiches. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a croissant today, which is cheaper than the one I got at Dunkin yesterday and like 10x better.The people are consistently lovely too, great service every time I've visited. And with my visits being spread out over the last 3 years, I think that says something about management.If you're visiting CR, make a stop at cattle dog and support these lovely people! Perfect place for a quick brunch before an adventure or to grab drinks to go and walk around town.”

“They have several options for seafood lovers. Four of us dined in And had combination dinners that included muscles, snow crab, lobster, corn on the cob and more!Kid-friendliness: I know it was very appropriate for teenagers and they have driven themselves and had 5 star treatment as well.”

“This restaurant is the perfect example of how I like to travel. No chain stores. Just real folks and real food. The atmosphere is good. Everyone kind of keeps to themselves and just enjoy the food. I had a simple big breakfast that didn’t disappoint. The food looked good and tasted better. The small things like perfectly sweetened sweet tea and the best biscuits that I have had in quite a while. Our server was very warming and fun. You’ll like this place. The menu is very diverse with the typical breakfast foods along with liver and onions and gator bites. I can tell that they take care of the kitchen because my home fries were fresh and the eggs were good with no extra taste from anything else on the grill. Just stop reading and stop by. It’s gud! ?”

“One of my favorite salad bars around. This vast salad bar includes fresh queso, chips, redneck stew, county style chili, fresh fruits and desserts. Their smoked meats and bbq sauces are amazing. Great family place but also good for date nights. This time I gave their mega bloody mary a try. It knocked my socks off. So flavorful and yummy. It included a bacon wrapped jalapeno popper , steak, olives, bacon and steak all for 12 bucks. Let me tell you I got full off the drink alone. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive.”

“Needed something special for Easter Sunday dessert and boy did Queen of Cakes deliver! We got some cupcakes and cookies and I have never tasted such amazing desserts - fresh ingredients and not overly sugary either. The owner is so amazing and her family run business is very clean and inviting. My husband and I will make this shop a regular stop for special occasions - and on days we are craving that something extra. Give this place a try, it is such a better alternative than grocery store bakeries or pre-packaged desserts. Plus it is great to support local businesses such as these.”

Seems there has been a change and it don't matter to me.This bar will continue to be a good randevu point. The drinks are priced fair, they're is smoking outside, music, its just perfect. “I’m here from Buffalo, NY visiting my best girlfriend in the area and we just came in for dinner with 5 kids in tow! Gabby was so welcoming and great with our rowdy table. The place was clean and cozy and smelled like smoky BBQ heaven! We enjoyed everything we ate from the homemade pork rinds (tried ALL the sauces on the table!) and all the smoky meats. The kids cleaned their plates as did the adults. My favorite was the brisket, but everything was excellent. The price for 7 of us to eat (and carry home another meals worth of leftovers) was more than reasonable. I couldn’t believe this place was not packed. We’ll be back for sure! Thank you Gabby and everyone behind the scenes!And just had to add a most honorable mention to the hands down most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth smoky jalapeño poppers I’ve ever had.”
