Came in to place an order on a Tuesday around 3:30 PM. I was asked if I was placing a order and was told to give them five minutes. After about seven minutes of waiting, I proceeded to leave, got in my car, and called the restaurant to place my order. After calling the restaurant four times, someone finally picked up and I place my order and came back in to get my food. The staff were surprised that I initially left because the staff member who asked for five minutes, thought I was a doordash driver. Food is great but that experience was a little sad.

I just found the best oxtails and perhaps some of the best Jamaican food I've had. I am a diehard oxtail fan. I hunt them down at restaurants, and it's always the first dish I try when initiating a new carribean spot. When I say diehard, it means I could eat them every week. I also make a mean pot of oxtails myself and my beloved father, who should have been a chef, makes some of the best on the planet. I said all that to say that when I crown this place as one of the best, that equates to ultimate winner winner beef dinner. Lets start with my order:1. Two all beef patties -- special (hot) sauce, no lettuce, no cheese, no pickles, no onions and no sesame seed bun -- just a golden brown flaky crust loaded with the most flavorful minced beef ever...2. OXTAIL, OXTAIL, OXTAIL -- sides were slap somebody macaroni and cheese + peas and rice -- and if I'm honest, peas and rice are another quintessential staple to good Jamaican food3. You are a JERK chicken (lol, and yes I made that up) -- sides were cabbage and good googly goo the most scrumptious plantains I've ever bitten intoIt was all surprisingly stellar!!!!! The oxtails were not just fall off the bone but something of an anomaly that the were perfectly cut, perfectly seasoned, perfectly sauced and perfectly salivating. I can still taste them, fereal y'all. The rice and peas were a 12/10 .. yea not mistyped .. they were so good. That jerk chicken was the most tender bite of jerk delight. I embarrassed myself in front of the both the bones for the chicken and oxtail because I ensured there wasn't a remnant of meat left on either. Folks, where the heck is this restaurant's owners from, Jamaican Heaven? That macaroni and cheese y'all, come through Holy Ghost!!! The cabbage was not the best I've had but it was not overcooked and was pretty decent. Finally, the beef patties y'all...ok...I took a quick break to thank God from whom all blessings flow. They were an explosion of flavor. Look-a-here, Minston's, I don't know what it is that you are up to trying to coerce people to this so called Deli experience but there is nothing Deli about your food unless you add cious on the end. I'm literally hooked so don't get caught trying to go to your car alone with any catering pans and warn the food deliveryservices that you have an imminent threat of a food stalker. I see you. ROFLFootnotes: The staff is very kind and accommodating and they don't skimp in the portions either. Do your thing Chef Minston!!!

what a spot! when i come home to alpharetta, i'm never too enthusiastic to eat out cause most of what you'll find is chain stores or an overpriced gastropub that sells bland burnt brussels sprouts, but wowowowow is minstons exactly what we needed!! the prices are ridiculously affordable for the HUGE portions and i love how you can see back into the kitchen when you order!! if i remember correctly, each of our chicken dishes was around 8-9 bucks which is INSANE for how much great quality food they give you!!! like forreal... they give you three HUGE pieces of chicken plus two generous sides which could be a meal just by themselves... my family got the stewed chicken, jerk chicken, and escovitch blt and all of it was sooooo flavorful, perfectly cooked and tender, and well spiced. their maduros were so sweet and well fried, and the rice and peas just by themselves were delightful to eat!! i think my favorite was the stewed chicken just cause there was a beautiful gravy that tasted just... ridiculous on rice..... like so unbelievably good...... we also got the habanero cabbage slaw which was super refreshing!! pls support this local business it's such a gem and i hope it thrives :)

Stopped here on a whim after picking up liquor next door and was not disappointed! The owner was friendly and the jerk and curry chicken were the perfect spice combination!! The cabbage and Mac and Cheese were cooked perfectly. Will definitely eat here again!!

You should really give Minston's a try! (in the corner by Studio Movie Grille on Holcomb Bridge) Love this food. Owners are so friendly and upbeat. The food is for real Jamaican and delicious. You can order via phone and pick up, or order in person, and they'll bring your order to the car, if you don't want to wait inside. Everything is good. We are working our way through the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. If you want something spicy you can find it here! I asked Minston to add callaloo to the menu and he told me he would. Since we are all trying to socially distance, it is great to have this option for take out food. Support a smaller restaurant during these times, and go to Minston's Jamaican Deli! The food and the "vibe" is all good!

Great food great value! My only recommendation would be to have free water cups or reasonably priced water bottles. Soda $1 and water was $2.50!!! Help out the healthy.

LOVE Minstons!!! The food is legit Jamaican and absolutely delicious! Haven't had such delicious jerk chicken, curry chicken, patties, cabbage, plantains, since I was in the Bronx. The place is spotless, and the Owner is super nice too!

This little spot opened near my neighborhood. I love Jamaican food and thought I'd give it a try. Now I've moved on to planning to be a regular customer! I ordered jerk chicken, mac and cheese and plantains...and it was delicious! I look forward to exploring more of the menu. Plus, the people who run the place were really friendly. On another note, I appreciated the added courtesy of them wrapping the takeout container with plastic wrap to keep it from spilling or making my car smell like I have a jerk chicken air freshener :) That was a nice touch. I'll be back very soon!

Fantastic place! The entire staff is extremely personable and friendly! The food has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! There is a wide variety of cuisines to choose from. They have daily specials, catering options, and family-style meals as well. And I was just told they are now serving Jamaican breakfast on Saturdays from 8 am - 11 am!!! Looking forward to it!! Thank you for the delicious food and service!
