As someone who loves Jamaican food this place disappointed me. The chicken was mostly bone and fat, the mac and cheese lacked any sort of flavor and the fried plantains were cold. For 16$ I expected to at least to be super stuffed but not even that happened. Definitely recommend going somewhere else.

I used to love this place but honestly, since $35.00 was spent and the food was bland with no seasoning today, I have to write this. Rice and peas tastes like white rice. Stew chicken has absolutely no flavor to it. Where are the peppers and onions ? Cabbage has no seasoning. Sold out of j*** chicken around dinner time? Only one patty left at dinner time. Damn. My food tastes rushed and you can tell there wasn’t much time or effort put into this meal. I won’t be returning as I just drove 40 mins for this.

Delicious. The Mac and cheese was perfect and the Stew Chicken was almost perfect. The one criticism I would give is that the chicken was slightly dry. The cabbage was also more flavorful than at some other Jamaican spots. I'll definitely be back.

Place was amazing. Most of the Jamaican food I have eaten has been in the kitchen of Jamaican folks and has been spectacular. Minstons was outstanding and won't disappoint. Great portions- one entree is good for two people in most cases. Escoveitch fish was lights out. J*** pork phenomenal and the stewed peas (the staple of the Jamaican kitchen) were delicious. Will be going back here again and again. Also- service was awesome. That ran out of their j*** chicken and the very nice young woman working there made some excellent suggestions as alternatives. And oh yeah- the Mac and cheese was sublime and the plantains hearty and sweet.

First time at Minston's. J*** chicken with rice and beans and cornbread for lunch. Outstanding. Nice kick but not too spicy. Portion was crazy huge. Best lunch value I've seen in a while. This is my new go-to lunch spot. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Happened into this restaurant randomly on a cold Saturday for lunch with my wife. I had Curry Chicken, Red Beans and Rice and the Cabbage Medley. Every thing was absolutely delicious. Thankful to have found this place as it is in a shopping center that I don’t frequent and it is not visible from Holcomb Bridge Rd. Only seating for 6 or 8 people but I highly recommend happening into this restaurant as well. The owner is Vanessa and she is lovely and accommodating.
