Excellent fried catfish fillet and fried shrimp. My sister got the boneless wings, honey bbq. She said they were good as well as the red potatoes. The place is definitely a hole in the wall, but the food is awesome. Service was good as well. Not much parking, but there is parking across the street and behind the restaurant.

I came to Americus from Florida and was googling somewhere to eat and came across the Fish House. I called and ordered a shrimp salad and it was delicious and I had enough shrimp to know I had some.Hats Off to ya!!!Very nice personality and friendly!

We are in town from Florida and found them on Google. Hands down best seafood I’ve ever had. We had the seafood platter that included, catfish, shrimp, oysters, deviled crab and 2 sides. I got the greens and fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and you could actually taste the seafood vs being overly breaded. Can’t say enough great things about this little restaurant. We will be back everytime we’re in town!!

Outstanding service! We had catfish, fried to perfection. The hush puppies were great, fired okra was on point and the coleslaw was as good as I’ve had. The peel and eat shrimp were fresh and spiced just right. The waitress was busy but never missed checking on us. The price for the food was unbelievable! I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere because of the rustic nature but at the same time….it’s the hole in the wall kinda place you don’t want to miss. If we are back in Americus it is a definite stop!

We had not visited The Fish House in years because the menu had been lacking, seeming to feature mostly fried foods. We were pleased to see that the menu has improved. They now have such delicacies as low country boil, grilled items, and boiled shrimp as well as traditional fried selections. Hubby ordered grilled flounder with red potatoes and corn on the cob and was pleased with his choice. I ordered snow crab legs even though they did not come with sides, which was a bit surprising. They were delicious. Their presentation was a bit odd, hubby’s being served on a metal pan and mine in a metal sort of mixing pan with the butter melted in the bottom. It was a mess but delicious and there were plenty of napkins and wet wipes. We plan another visit soon.
this is a hit or miss with the food there is consistency of quality. went here to night i got the alligator and it tasted sou.r later on that night i got the shits not a happy camper to much grease for me ..

If I could rate a zero I would loud unprofessional staff you get ignored most of the time your there the food is not good at all when you ask for items you have got grilled before they say the can't I suspect to make it easier on their end was told they were out of lemons when I saw someone cutting them up then all of a sudden they had them for 98 dollars the food and the atmosphere were not worth it staff cursing and throwing things behind the counter I will Never come back this place use to be a nice place to eat its no place for anyone to go now and 10 percent gratuity when we were ignored most of the time is awful none of the staff needed any gratuity they needed lessons on perfessional behavior. Tonight was my daughters birthday and it was ruined by this awful atmosphere at this establishment.
