Always good wings from JR Crickets an Atlanta institution. I anticipated the Athens location would be just as good as the 1 on Ponce and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the 50 piece, 25 lemon pepper 25 buffalo bbq. Fries included with my order. Full bar available with TV screens viewable from every seat. I was there at a dead time of day: only me and one other solo diner. Very clean dining room, casual service lots of TVs showing sports. Not good-not bad-not sure if it's worth a return visit. I enjoyed the flavor of my wings but they were nothing special, However my sister likes this restaurant for takeout so I gave a try

I’m confused? This is definitely the best place for wings in Athens. I’m a returning customer, but for the past month or so, every time I try to call in an order it goes straight to voicemail -so on a few occasions I’ve driven over there to place an order for Togo and they have been closed. Talking 7:30 on a Friday night. Y’all still open?
