A group of us went in pretty late, around 10pm. It was mostly empty and the music was mostly techno pop. Which was nice at first but it would have been great to have a few songs on there with a lower rpm. The kitchen was closing soon so we got a mix of burgers, pizza, and salads.Everything was fine except for the fries and the pizza, they were not fresh at all. I guess they figured they would just use whatever fries that were left instead of making more. The pizza was doughy when it started to cool down.So I’d recommend the burgers, salads, and maybe pick a different side. The server was nice and attentive.

Good food. Good fries. Sometimes the bartenders are a little cranky at the bar when it's crowded. Overall a good East Atlanta staple

Argosy is objectively cool. Have you ever eaten dinner in a wooden ship? The Argosy was an actual ship that got retired and moved to East Atlanta Village to make the restaurant, Argosy. It's cool and gorgeous and will always pass the vibe check. How could it not? You are literally sitting inside a wooden ship with years of history. They have a brick oven that makes a mean pizza. Their burgers and wings are solid.

I’ve been here many times for dinner and the atmosphere and food are always great. Recently I went for a 2000s night at the Brig and none of the bars carried grenadine. That was very disappointing and something I am not used to for full bars. The music was also not as expected, I felt more so at a EDM concert than 2000s dance night.

Order the grille chicken was under cooked for my taste never tried it just looked at the bone too pink. Had the fries it was ok. Hubby had the salad he seem to like it. Service takes a while but I guess might be normal. The environment is certainly different, its a mixture of lots of different things its so werid. Should've tried the pizza enjoy watching them being made from my seat.

Came here for a “2000s event” and honestly this is not the restaurants fault but the music was terrible. This was a DJ issue. Myself and my friend had multiple people come up to us stating how bad the music was. Everything did not need dubstep added and there were barely any 2000s hits. The dj also was not really open to any requests which I thought to be weird. My friend and I made the most of it and it would’ve looked like we loved the music but it was truly terrible. I am writing this review to speak for the people because this restaurant has such a great concept having a club in the back of it. I have literally never been to a club where multiple people come up saying how bad the music is. I would still definitely be back but have another 2000s event with someone else as the DJ.

The mac n cheese was fantastic, even though pricey. I also had the salmon special, and although it was edible, the flavors made NO SENSE. Salmon was blackened, then grilled. Flavors did not go with the capers and whipped feta (more like a feta cream sauce over pasta). The dish finished SUPER SALTY. Price point was $28 for a small portion of salmon and pasta, it felt like a rip-off given that it wasn't satisfying. They should take it off the menu.

This visit was my second time to Argosy and it didn't disappoint. My visit was late one Sunday night in which I was able to experience Argosy's delicious pizza menu. My most recent visit was due to Mother's Best pop up at the restaurant on this particular Tuesday; interested in trying the oysters and gumbo. Now, I'll pause here to state that I am from Louisiana and can be a tough critic of gumbo. Though this one was the best ( 6/10)- I gave extra credit and points for : color, texture and, the fact that they offered potato salad on the side. Anyone from South Louisiana knows that potato salad goes with gumbo but, I'll save that debate for another time. Getting back to the review - I also ordered the fish sticks and tried an oyster or two. The fish sticks were served with tartar sauce but, there was a lemon and caper topping and some type of slaw mixture at the bottom - I give the dish a 7/10. I'll definitely be back as the restaurant is in my neighborhood and I want to try the meatloaf next.
