Ecco Midtown is an upscale restaurant in Midtown, but the prices are a little more reasonable (in terms of serving size to price ratio) than other upscale establishments.Everything I had a chance to sample tasted very good. Also, I like that the servings are not so tiny that they leave you hungry. If you’re a first time visitor, the waitstaff does a great job with food recommendations from the menu. Everything our waitress recommended was on point. Pro-tip: THIS IS A CASHLESS establishment, so bring your credit cards! The ambience is cozy and intimate. The dress code is smart casual. There is valet parking on site, but there are plenty of street parking available on Cypress and surrounding streets (just pay with ParkMobile app).Notable appetizers to try are honey goat cheese and pork belly. The goat cheese and the honey are a great combination. The pork belly is flavored to perfection. I wish it comes in more than 2 small skewers on a small plate. Other notable side dishes are wood roasted shrimp and pan con tomate, both of which are delicious.Notable drinks I’d recommend are the “Long Live the Queen” and “Pink Panther.” Both of which are good. The restaurant ran out of its most popular entree, the papardelle, on the Saturday evening I visited. But nevertheless, the Spaghetti al nero (squid ink noodles in a slightly spicy blue crab sauce) the waitress recommended tasted exquisite. My companions tried the campanelle (white chicken ragu) and loved it, too!Overall, if you’re looking to experience a Midtown restaurant with exquisite tasting foods, great ambience, and friendly service that’s also big bang for your bucks, give Ecco a try.

Went to Ecco with and on a recommendation from a friend and Atlanta local. The dishes were really unique and absolutely delicious. My friend said the last time he was there that the menu was nearly all different, highlighting their seasonal dishes. I can’t wait to come back again to see what scrumptious plate they come up with next!

It's not worth the cost. Steak was a low-end cut, very rubbery and tough to chew, and the fries were limp. The porkchop was fine and came with two little onions, and all of it was too expensive for what you get. Would have left hungry if not for the table bread. The drinks were tasty but small for the price. It was ok but we won't go again.

Went here for a date night and I can truly say this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The wine selection was fantastic, the appetizers were phenomenal (try the fried goat cheese), and the entrees were out of this world. Much praise to Mike, our waiter, who gave us an amazing experience for our special occasion. The steak frites were flavorful and sublime. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top of the line and luxurious dinner in the heart of Atalanta’s Midtown. Five stars.

Service was perfect - waiter was tending to and checking on us as needed. Not overly intrusive and not hard to find. Started w tapas - tuna tartare and shrimp. Very tasty! Scallops and pompano were excellent. Just the right portions - we weren't overly full or left feeling like we didn't eat wnough.

It was our first time at Ecco. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. The food we chose for our entrees was delicious - the scallops and the steak frites. My husband ordered the cauliflower since his entree didn't come with a side and he didn't care for it and sent it back. We shared the Caesar salad and I felt the dressing was too strong. My fries were over salted and just tasted like basic frozen fries. So, although the steak and scallops were a win, we left feeling like it was a miss. It didn't help that the neighboring table a crying and loud toddler in a high chair (not the restaurants fault). I'm still giving 5 stars as the misses weren't the entrees or service. We had to heavily rely on the server for suggestions as the menu listed ingredients only, no description of the food.

One of the WORST experiences I n Atlanta ! Food mediocre actually sort of terrible , overpriced . Waited a while to be acknowledged, slow service of food and we we left hungry I have never left dinner hungry before and made a P&J when I got home ! Don't waste your money

The restaurant atmosphere is nice and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Our food was very good. Although the Campanella was overly seasoned with pepper. Would recommend it to anyone going to the Fox Theater. It is walkable.

My wife and I enjoyed delicious pasta entrees and the Caesar salad as an entree. Excellent service by our waiter, who was attuned to our need to leave the restaurant by 7:00 pm to attend Hamilton at the Fox Theatre. Great ambience in the restaurant.

Made a reservation under their a la carte option for Valentine's Day but when we arrived they said they decided to only do a prix fixe menu that was absurdly expensive and weren't serving any of their a la carte options. Decided to just leave instead of spending 3x as much money for half the menu options. Seems like they definitely should have notified their customers that they decided not to offer an a la carte option instead of waiting until we showed up. Won't be back any time soon

Maybe it was just the fact that it was Valentine's Day prix fixe, but food was just OK. Also, I ordered a prime New York strip and I'm certain they served me a top round cut about 3 inches thick with zero fat content. When I asked, they claimed they “circle cut their New York strips and grill really slowly.” Anyone who knows even a little bit about steak knows that the entire point of ordering a New York strip or ribeye is because of the fat marbling.
