Horrible food and service!! Do not eat here! Plus every wine we tried to order they were out! Waiter didn’t have a clue either. They should be ashamed!

My husband and I stayed in Locust Grove on our way south and the gentleman at our hotel front desk recommended The French Market so we tried it. EXCELLENT CHOICE! We shared the fried green tomatoes appetizer which was very tasty. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the five alarm cajun pasta both were spicy (his was extra spicy) and delicious!! Best Cajun food that we have eaten without being in New Orleans. I must also mention that our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

I go here when in town for business. I always check out local restaurants and this is a unique/quaint place. Excellent food and cocktails. Shrimp and Grits are one of their specialties and they do them right!

My family visited this venue which was very nice but the service was absolutely terrible and the food was mediocre. Not sure if they are suffering from being under staffed but patrons should never have to ask repeatedly for refills or flat wear. The food came out over a 15-20 minute period for the entire family. An absolute terrible dining experience .

Like the name a excellent New Orleans inspired restaurant. The menu is very interesting and suits all taste. They have everything from Shrimp & Grits to Hamburgers. The Staff is very helpful, fast and friendly. Good parking and nice ambiance. Shrimp & Grits, Shrimp Po boy, Red Beans and Rice were wonderful. The Chicken Salad also looked great. Easy to find on the main drag in town. enjoy

At one time this restaurant was one of our “go to” places to have dinner as we like to support our local small businesses. However, tonight was a new low as our food order took over 45 minutes. The fries that came with the burger I ordered were cold and inedible. Our server responded with “they are dropping more fries” - but alas 15 more minutes elapsed and nothing. Our server was doing her best but neither the manager or the kitchen staff were unable to handle the situation. The manager tried to blame “a large party” they were serving in one of their rooms - but the main siding area had only a few patrons there. My wife’s food was “just OK” and not a good value for the entree as presented. A very disappointing experience - and we will not be returning.

The restaurant was open to a small gift store. The dining area was a large bright room with rustic decor. The service was a bit slow, perhaps due to a busy evening with a large group of dinners that night. We started with green fried tomatoes and an avocado caprese. Both are well made and tasty. I had a Jambalaya, and my wife had the Stuffed Catfish Roulades, which included 2 sldes. She chose Red Beans & Rice and Broccolini. The mains were very good. We shared a lemon Italian cream cake. This dessert was average.

Very good food and service. We had an early dinner of fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and apple pull pork flat bread. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. They were crisp but not oily. The shrimp and grits were spicy but not too hot and the grits were flavorful. The flat bread was ok. Our server was great. She stuffed blue cheese olives especially for my vodka martini. She was attentive without being intrusive. Locus Grove is a tiny town with friendly people.

Well cooked and flavor filled dinners! Great service and a super cute atmosphere. One person in our party had a cheeseburger which was cooked as requested. Another person had the salmon with a sweet chili sauce and it was a very large piece which had roasted broccoli and a side of tasty Mac n cheese. Another person had the shrimp and grits and which had a great flavor. We’d visit again!

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel we were staying in. What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I really enjoyed our experience here. He had the Bacon Cheeseburger and an Avocado Caprese Salad which he loved! I had the Swiss Cheese Mushroom burger cooked medium well. It was very juicy and delicious. The collard greens were wonderful (and being from the north, I usually do not like them). Our waitress, Kelli, was very friendly and very helpful . I would eat here again in a heartbeat!

A unique restaurant housed in a remodeled old building…. Quaint atmosphere We had a 3 pm “lunch” which was totally delightful. Our waitress Kristy was a sincere and charming server and we enjoyed visiting with her. Our choices: …Pecan/Apple salad with grilled chicken…just delectable …Cup of Gumbo….thick and meaty and delicious …Chicken salad on a croissant…I read the reviews and I’m certainly glad I listened? …Cheesy grits… mmmmm so good! …AND… I was going to pass on dessert but Kristy described the Caramel Cake …I was sold hook liner and sinker…. It was fantastic!

Stumbled on this gem while traveling from MN to FL. Our server, Tracey, was delightful. I selected the Crab Stuffed Catfish, which has me writing this review. It was so good, I have not stopped remembering it since having it a few weeks ago ! Great taste and more than reasonably priced by amount and quality of this dish. Looking forward to driving through next time!
