One of the last hidden gems of Atlanta. I hope this place never goes. Great people. Bartenders are awesome and foods is great. Come in for happy hour or a game of pool. Apparently it was on Anthony Bourdain’s list to visit but they ran out of days during filming. (I knew the camera crew)

Had a great time. Greg the bartender was amazing and very friendly. About 8 pool table also had 2 dart boards. We had 2 beers and it came up to $17 which is sort of high but the vibes were cool. Didn’t try the food but everyone was tearing it up so I assume it was pretty good. Faint smoky smell even though I didn’t see anyone smoking inside. Very clean establishment didn’t feel sticky. Will be back.

$300 over charged! Check your statement! 42-dollar tap was over 300 bucks because they closed out various tabs.I was able to cancel all of it on the card side But it's not something I check all the time. I just lucked out because my buddy mentioned it happened to him there, so I checked mine.Wow never seen this tactic but I guess it's a thing? Sucks, cuz the tables are nice and the prices seemed okay. Hit up the place before didn't have an issue but Sunday at 4:30 pm hundreds of dollars got hit on my card. Not just duplication, it was different amounts. The same tab amount, double the tab amount, and half the tap amount multiple times racking up over 300 bucks!I called in. Try to be polite about it and get told that I was mistaken and did I ask to close anyone else tab out?! Finally just got left on hold.The tables are good and the Sunday crowd was chill such a bummer...I know I'm jumping to conclusions here. But I'm telling you they got pencils and paper... I think they're just rolling pencils on top to make copies of cards. My charges happened 10 30 minutes after I left. Maybe targeted, I don't know but It just kinda caught my eye like you're not writing anything down.
The Independent has become a great spot for weekly pool nights. The drinks and food are always great (the fried green beans are my absolute favorite). Service is always fast and friendly. Parking is free for the first two hours in the lot, but you do have to scan the code and register your vehicle.

The worst place I have ever seen.Disgusting behavior, rude and racist employees.Went with my friends., and were waiting for almost more than 3 hours just to get our turn to play.They were adding the new comies before us and we kept on waiting for our chances.And when talk to one of the employee Mariya, about this she was like you can wait or leave. Humanity is deadThey try to fool the customer., don’t even think to go guys its total waste of time.Will never ever recommend it.,And especially Asian( Indian) guys totally avoid this place.

Worst service here! They showed me Racism and I did not get a pool table even after waiting for 2 hours. Few other guys who came after us got the table as they were “FRIENDS” with the other guys! The lady at the bar counter is so rude and and arrogant! Left the place disappointed and wasted my time coming here! Never going back again!
