Best espresso martini I’ve had in Atlanta. Sat at the bar and the service was amazing. Wish I could remember the bar tenders name but he was tall and had a pony tail. Will definitely be back.

We had a reservation. It took an hour to get our drinks. Meanwhile the people that the waitress knew and some people who got seated AFTER us got drinks BEFORE us, drank their drinks, sat for an hour, and LEFT BEFORE we got our drinks. Supposedly there was a printer error (that affected us and LITERALLY no one else) and they “were working on them right now” (yet another 15 mins went by until we were served…) that delayed our drinks but dude it took an HOUR while drinks were churned out for others who got there AFTER us!!!! Tell me how that’s appropriate. We got a minuscule discount on our original order to rectify this but no. I’m sorry. How can you run an “upscale” place and treat people like this??? 1/10 do not recommend. Drinks are so expensive id go elsewhere. It ain’t that cool inside.

Absolutely despicable service, and I am never one to complain. Cannot describe how disturbed I was by the lack of customer service at this establishment. Waitress was one of the rudest people I have ever met. Our drinks came forty-five minutes late when we had a two hour maximum. The waitress never apologized even when we asked what had happened. She stated, “Yeah it’s always this way.” Will not be going back and neither should you.

In theory a nice place with the atmosphere, but it took 40 minutes to get drinks and our server was rude. The drinks were mediocre. Would not spend the time coming here. Disappointing…

This happened a little while ago but I'm just now making time to leave the review.Pros: The ambiance is nice though the music was a few notches too loudCons: The service is very slow. My girlfriends and I sat for over 15 minutes before our server greeted us. We were trying to have a girls night so we didn't want to leave out of frustration. In hindsight that was a red flag we ignored. We were too committed to having a nice night out and decided that the first time might have been an honest mistake. It took forever to get every drink we ordered, and we tried to consistently wave down our server as he walked right past our table...nothing.In the end we saw they charge an automatic gratuity of 20%. My friends and I have all worked in the service industry and typically tip 25%+. So the amount wasn't actually the problem, it was the poor service. It made sense instantly that we got such lousy service, because the server knows he's getting 20% anyway. Management was unwilling to hear us out at all. It's a waste of a good location and venue when you aren't willing to be receptive to any feedback. We explained that we're former restaurant/bar industry employees and know that the service we received was below par and management got very defensive.

To call this space a Speakeasy does all speak easy and disservice. The place was LOUD , people were Dressed like the wear going to a BRAVES Game. But yet it has a sign that reads DRESS CODE STRICTLY ENFORCED?? Bathroom was unisex. Urine was all over the floor, so I can’t imagine how women felt while attempting to use the restroom! Truly DISAPPOINTED!Parking: Stayed 20 minutes , and paid $10.00 for parking#RIDICULOUS.

This bar is located behind a bakery. Perfect for social events as it keeps the music low. Elegant ambience with snacks to munch on. This is NOT a restaurant for dinner.

The only 5 Stars I can justify giving is for the service. The talented people there, both behind the bars and on the floor are awesome. They are the backbone and heartbeat of this place and I definitely encourage going there to support the staff who work in this immoral, unethical, uninspiring establishment. The bartenders, baristas, servers and kitchen staff are all All-Stars and will put their heart into their crafts. Despite grossly underutilizing its potential and being ran by an arrogant overlord aka the "diReCtOr oF OpeRaTioNs", there is rock solid team of employees who make up for the highly toxic dynamic and lack of proper leadership, making it a promising place to enjoy yourself...although, I've been to circuses with higher standards.

It's a little upscale and definitely a vibe. Perfect for a 1st or 50th date. For the best experience, make a reservation. Unfortunately you can only stay for 2

My date and I had a great time overall at the James Room. The venue is very stylish and has a classic cigar bar kind of feel without the smoking. I had a mock tail that I really enjoyed! Like a lychee Moscow mule. We also enjoyed the crab cakes but they were entirely too small, 2 the size of a flat golf ball if that. ALSO, the hostess asked if we wanted our coats checked and we said yes. Whyyyyy were our coats hanging by the door of the establishment completely unattended?! Any cold person from the beltline could've easily walked off with our jackets or taken whatever was in the pockets. FYI there's nowhere to hang your purse or coat because they have stools with no backs at the tables.

A group of my girlfriend went on a Wednesday night for their Slow Jams event. The music was loud enough for us to have mini karaoke sessions but soft enough for us to have conversations without screaming!!! The food is served tapas style and was very tasty!!! My favorite part was the drinks... I had two drinks, TWO, and felt amazing after. Definitely made with care and top shelf alcohol! Shoutout to the bar tender!! This has become one of my go to spots so I will definitely be back and recommend other to come as well
