If you wanna good steak in Jasper, GA Home Restaurant is the place! “This is the nicest huddle house I've ever visited. All of the staff were friendly. And they were really friendly. Not that fake friendly that you get in some places. You could tell these people really wanted to make you happy. The food was really good and was served fast. My vegetarian son actually was able to eat there easily. “Such great food! Every entree comes with a salad and bread. Felt like you got your money's worth. My only con was that we were put on a high top table when we didn't request that through our reservation. There were many other tables open but we were told we couldn't sit anywhere else because those tables had been requested by other guests. The high tops were crammed on this area and it was very tight. Other than that, it was a great experience.“

I forgot the Mr. Potato head loaded baked potato with your choice of meat! Need to try this someday I had the chicken plate with potato salad & collards with chow chow, pickles & onions. Delicious! “The minute you enter you are met by the friendliest welcoming staff. You are immediately impressed with the ambiance. Our server was professional, attentive, and truly a pleasure. The menu offered a diverse choice of selections. Food was excellent. Then we were approached by one of the owners who identified himself as Uncle Tom who presented that this was a family business and since we were there we were adopted into their family. “Do not go out that often and live to prepare fresh meals at home. But- when I choose to eat out I expect to have my breath taken away! And - Downtown Kitchen did that! “My aunt and I have enjoyed a wonderful meal, and our server Janet made it a dining experience. My aunt loves the spinach salad and patty melt. I get the white pizza which is my favorite of all the area pizza places. My husband usually always gets the meat ravioli. We come here whenever possible and have yet to have a bad meal. “This place is definitely "Old Skool Kool." The restaurant says it's been here the late 60s. The ladies working as servers and in the kitchen were friendly and very speedy. Coffee was hot and hit the spot. Biscuits and gravy are very good. I really enjoyed my Western Omlet.“

“Delicious as always. Our server was okay, although chewing gum and disappeared at times. Felt like we were pre-busing our own table throughout the experience. Music was too low and lights too high...managers having a discussion near the restrooms and not giving guests the right of way felt dismissive. Bar towels hanging on sidestands.“

“Let me tell you about this place. Not only do we get greeted by the friendliest staff and always a cheerful atmosphere but when something goes wrong they take care of you two fold. My husband and I moved to the area 3 years ago. Often going almost every Tuesday. The staff recognizes us as we pretty much order the same thing each time. Laughable but true. The manager always offering his special salsa for us. Well today was just a takeout day after driving 7hrs home from vacation. Go in and someone had mistakenly paid for our dinner and walked out the door with it. I said, no worries I'll just wait in the car if you guys can make it again. No big deal at all. 10min past and out comes the manager with not one but two orders of the same stuff. He said don't worry and to have a good night. He wouldn't let me pay for it. I offered again as I walked back inside and he refused. I did tip them as this was not necessary and was very happy to wait for my food to be made again. 10/10 service and hospitality every time. Today has earned my business for life. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Truly not expected but extremely thankful after a long day of travel.“

“It's been over five years since we stopped in. We went about 30 minutes after they opened for a quick lunch. Our waitress greeted us with a smile, and was super kind. We ordered southwest egg rolls for an app. We forgot to snap a picture, but they are served with a chipotle ranch. They were very flavorful. Highly recommend. We also ordered 8 boneless wings with the Korean BBQ flavor. I'm always very hesitant about boneless wings and always worried about biting into a bad piece, but these did not disappoint. Breaded lightly and great quality chicken. We got their house made blue cheese on the side which was tasty. Also ordered the Apache chicken wrap which comes grilled, but I swapped mine for fried and tossed in their scorchin’ sauce. I love spice, so this was the second hottest one they had. Great flavor and great heat. On the wrap was the chicken, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and chipotle ranch on the side. Great size wrap. Subbed out the chips for curly fries. Lastly, was the kids hotdog and fries. We enjoyed all of it. Will definitely be back more often!“
