“Had not been in a really long time. I wanted some soul food today and they did not disappoint. The food is kept VERY HOT. Overall cleaniness of the restaurant is good. I enjoyed everything on my plate. I had 2 pieces of meat and 3 sides and paid $12.80. The only thing I would say is that you don’t know how much you’re going to pay until you’ve already made your plate , and there’s no prices displayed but my food is usually $15 and under. The owner/manager is always nice. The macaroni and cheese was perfect. I’m gonna have to start back coming regularly! This food states like old school soul & R&B. It tastes like a grandma that’s the backbone of the family. It tastes like after church. It makes me wanna dance. Worth every dollar. I wanna kiss the chef. (Not literally)“

“My husband and I recently discovered this place and fell in love! He can't have gluten due to Celiac Disease, and they accommodated him so beautifully and in such a friendly way that we felt like honored guests instead of the problem table due to his food restrictions. We have gone in or ordered out several times and have loved every part of the experience, from the amazing food (our stockings were packed with their packaged foods this year), to the cozy and elevated atmosphere, to the top-notch service at all times.I'm so saddened that this place is closing down. If love and tastiness could save them, they'd be open until kingdom come.
