50 Best Vegetarian Restaurants in Buford

“So if you are not familiar, Kura sushi brand does originate from Japan and it is probably the second biggest conveyor belt 100-yen sushi (aka fast-food sushi) after Sushiro. Because of my work I have visited this brand restaurant in Japan many many times but the first time ever here in the States. I must say I was pleasantly surprised because the interior including the automated tablet style ordering computer was matching exactly the same you would see in Japan even down to the font style. Heck, the machine actually speaks Japanese when the system delivers your special-ordered sushi (just like ones in Tokyo). Of course, the price is three-fold thanks to the USD/JPY exchange rate.One thing bothered me was that even though the restaurant follows the exact same principle as they do in Japan (making it completely automated to lower the labor cost), the final bill does ask for tipping. I would not mind paying the tip if there was reasonable human interaction but even the water and drinks are delivered by the robot and you have virtually zero human interaction after the server sits you at the table. I don't know if servers are being paid reduced hospitality service hourly rate because it's still a restaurant in the US... But if servers are getting just regular hourly pay then the restaurant ought to notify the guests that tipping is not necessary unless exceptional service.Overall, a positive experience but be warned - it's not a fancy sushi place. This is a moderate, fast-food style sushi joint that's relatively affordable to the general public. They envisioned the brand that way in Japan.“

“I went twice. The first time we set at the bar and it was great. Definitely faster than a table that night. Food was delicious and so was the drinks. The second time we got a table and went during the day, food was still good and so was the drinks.“

“We enjoyed a pre Mother's Day early dinner at this establishment. Reservation was made for 4:30p, which is highly recommended because approximately 15 minutes after our arrival and seating, the restaurant became very active and gradually grew as our visit continued. They are open on Tues thru Sun at 4p. The seating time frame, service, and foowqs great. The atmosphere has a rustic feel to it. Rooftop seating is also available. I'm nor.ally not a steak person, but the steaks here are mouth-watering delicious. I had the steak of the day, which was the New York strip, a fresh salad that was really fresh, sharable bacon mac and cheese that was so delicious, and for an appetizer, the onion rings which is another winner. ? The price points could be $$ to $$$ depending on your appetite. The restaurant is located on Main St in beautiful downtown Buford, GA. Street parking is available and can become limited as the evening gets later.“

“Warm night, did not seem to have air-conditioner on, so the main room was very hot. Food was good, portions large, menu good- limited. App- fried green tomatos thick cuts. Special-Salmon, gnocchi & veggies was on the salty side, but good. Cuban chicken sandwich also good. We took 1/2 of each meal home. Again, the Atmosphere was hot and the building is not as upkeep as in the past. Porch tiles are very loosly hanging above diners tables and outside also has decor on the pavement among lots of weeds. We used to dine a couple times a month, but this was the first time back in a year. Great memories, but greatly changed.“

“Mason Till, our waiter, was amazing, attentive, and professional. This was my first time eating at Smokey Bones and Mason took great care of me and my guest. I give him and this restaurant FIVE STARS and TWO THUMBS UP!We ordered the Nutty Chicken Salad, corn bread, loaded baked potato, and a garden salad. Everything arrived at the table promptly and at the right temperature.“

“4-21-24 When we pulled into the parking lot at Papa Jack's, it was a mad house. People were trying to park while others were in line for the drive- thru. When you walk in, you stand in line like in a cafeteria. They have their menu on a board of what they're serving on that day. I had the pot roast ($1.50 extra & they were very frugal with the potatoes & carrots), mac & chz, cabbage & cornbread. For 3 of us, it was $42+ a tip, which = $50. The cashier asked for a tip & I'm not even sure who it went toward considering we had to carry our own food... We did meet a man & had lunch with him. It was nice meeting & talking with you, Dave!! ☺️ Hopefully, we will cross paths with you again soon while here in Buford.“

“If you love meats to eat this should be on your list. They were good about bringing the food often enough and were good about getting is the meat we wanted and the doneness of the meat. They are pretty plain on the flavors for the meats. Fiogo De ChoHas more flavors on the meat.I will say all the meat was very tender. Kinda a small place and would be easy to miss driving by. Do yourself a favorGo in the off times and avoid the crowd.“

“Really enjoyed Vinny’s! Our waitress Courtney (who was excellent by the way) suggested the Eggplant Parmesan and it was delicious! My husband got the ravioli and my daughter got the lasagna. My mother got the thin crust pizza. We were all very pleased with our waitresses recommendations! Truly LOVED the marinara sauce and can’t wait to go back for the pizza next time!“

“What an amazing dining experience. This quaint little sushi spot has amazing sushi, fresh seafood, and an excellent presentation. The food was incredibly delicious from the crab Rangoon-like appetizer to the Viking roll that came out lit on fire and had the tastiest scallops and slightly roasted salmon and cream cheese.I highly recommend the wicked fried rice. This dish is enough for 4 to share and is chicken, shrimp and beef fried rice with onions, zucchini, and red cabbage. DELICIOUS!!!The wait staff was just average or slightly below And it was odd that the rolls did not come with wasabi or ginger unless requested. Other than that, I will definitely be back. “Chinese takeout can be hot or miss. WEI makes it easy, food is very good, people are friendly, and the price is very fair. Traffic in the area can be a pain but still worth it if you're looking for authentic Chinese takeout. We love the Chicken Fried Rice.“

“I've lived in the area for over 6 years now and regret not trying this place earlier. The woman behind the counter was so friendly when I walked in and the food was sooo good. Large portions for what you pay and the Philly cheese steak I got was done perfectly. The cheese was thick and mixed in with the steak, not all runny and sitting at the bottom like a lot of places. Bread was steamed just right, not crispy or soggy. Received lots of French fries as well. The wings were a bit small, but cooked perfectly and the mild sauce had the right amount of kick. I'll definitely be coming back and trying other things on the menu as well.“

“Everyone working here was very nice. The service was great.If your goal is to repel a vampire for a week, a meal here will do it for ya. Rolls and salad came with dinner. The rolls come out with massive chunks of Garlic on them, MASSIVE-see pic. I don't like garlic so I didn't eat the rolls. The salad is good, the dressing is bland but the salad has chick peas, beets, and lots of other good veggies. Our dinner portions were huge. Attached is a pic of the pasta sampler entree with meat sauce. Both our dishes also had a lot of garlic in the sauce. I feel like people use garlic to mask bad flavor or no flavor. I wish they'd use less garlic. I'll try another place next time I'm in the mood for Italian.“

“This is my favorite Waffle House location.They are always friendly and the food is delicious.But the experience I had last Friday was special.I was visiting with my son and eating a meal around 3pm. I was in a very depressed mood because I had an upsetting incident with someone else earlier in the day. “Best sushi around Buford, and it will be my go to sushi house until I move.Their sushi was sent from the Gods, some of the best sushi I’ve ever tasted.. just WOW.You can rely on this place for fresh, amazing quality sushi every single time you come.Mango Salmon Roll, Shrimp Tiger Roll, Lion King Roll, Salmon Skin Hand Roll, French Kiss Roll, Falcon Roll, these are some of my favorites in order from godly to amazing. (Get a side of eel sauce to dip the sushi in if you’re fairly new to eating sushi)Their freshly made ginger sauce for the house salads is amazing, sometimes I’ll buy a quart of it to take home and use on home cooked meals.Perfect gyoza. Delicious Green Tea Cheesecake too. The miso soup could be improved, I’ll say that. They are a little understaffed, and I find it best to come throughout the week rather than the weekend.Kenzo Sushi is a little pricier than other local sushi businesses but you get what you pay for in quality with sushi. My husband just had the cheeseburger and fries and I had the bbq burger. And we shared a peanut butter chocolate shake! Only thing we didn’t love was the fries. “I've been a Chinese buffet eater since I was a young man and I'm now in my mid-50s. This is the best I've ever had. And I have been to so many. I stated Chinese buffet but this is actually an Asian buffet. Mostly Chinese but a few things that are Japanese and Korean. You just can't beat the lunch price for this. $10 for quality food and there are so many options. The wait staff is superb. Dinner is quite a bit more so I usually just go at lunch. As far as I can tell the only thing dinner offers more is crawfish. Endless mussels which is my favorite. You won't find any tuna on the sushi bar but hey considering the price they are giving for a lunch buffet the sushi is good. Hot and sour soup is top-notch. Egg rolls are cooked perfectly and the fried rice is the only way to go if you get rice. As far as the main options and not the sides I highly recommend the Malaysian chicken. Add some extra onions and green peppers from some of the other dishes. On a bed of fried rice. It is unbelievably good. Throw in a few butter mushrooms if you like them and hit it lightly with soy sauce. I go about twice a month and I'm never disappointed.“

The tea was very good, we mix green tea with chrysanthemum. They quickly greeted us and gave us menus. We loved how it showed pictures of the dim sum items since we couldn't remember the names of some. Our food came out fast and was delicious. We loved the shu mai and tofu roll up(can't remember the exact name haha). I don't recommend the white long shrimp noodles dim sum dish. They put 3 tiny shrimp in them instead of medium/large shrimp and the soy sauce wasn't sweet at all. It was very different from other dim sum places we have gone to in the past. Overall, it was authentic and delicious and we are glad we made the stop while driving through Atlanta.“
