We were only 1 of 2 tables occupied for an early meal on a Sunday night. The waiter never gave his name and within 2 minutes of being seated asked for our order, not for drinks or appetizers. The starters and the main course arrived at the same time after asking for them to be spaced. The entrees were very good but the bill arrived as the plates were cleared without ever offering dessert. Our evening at Denim & Oak was a culinary delight, thanks to the incredible teamwork of Victor, our outstanding bartender, the attentive staff, the adept house manager, and the talented chefs. The red scarlet was an amazing fish dinner. Everything else was average. Soup was a let down, short rib was actually very good, the polenta was average, crab cakes were just ahhh. The wait staff did an excellent job and made the meal delightful. More seasoning in the soup and the sides and starters is needed.
