They don’t respond to catering orders. I tried 3 times to put in a catering request. Gwen never called me back. They are non-responsive. It was their loss.

The toughest Ox tail I ever tried to eat. Who ever cooked them must have been their first time cooking oz tail. I'll try another dish. No carrot juice, I guess the owner makes it if you ask.

Would never go here again. I enter the building, and no one is there. The light skin little girl at the counter tried to play stupid. I asked how much a small oxtail was, and she said it was $29. I asked if I could taste the gravy because I had never been there before. She tells me No! She can not do that. I'm like, "Could you go and ask the chef?" She goes in the back and takes like 3 minutes and comes back with a small ramekin of some gravy. I told her never mind, you taste that and walked out. I would never ever go back here.

So upset that I spent my last bit of money to go this restaurant of all restaurants, I had to choose this one! Food absolutely just not good! I got the curry chicken and it was barely done meaning you could see some pink with just no taste to it; cabbage of course wasn't cooked AND no taste and lastly but not least, the planterns, really nasty and no taste. I know you don't cook cook those but let them fry a little! None of my food was enjoyable and now I'm broke and still hungry! We gotta stop paying these businesses for trashy Food especially with these high prices! You all really disappointed me!! Cook and season your damn Food!

So had a regular oxtail costed about $29 and change plus tax obviously, I know oxtails are in high demand, but I really got a lot of bones as well. Unfortunately I really don’t want to pay such a high price for little to no food. Sauce was a bit watery but that’s okay. Flavor was pretty bland, meat did not taste too good not sure if it was because it was close to closing and got scraps..I guess it depends on who’s cooking? Service was alright overall.

Just left this restaurant. I've eaten there before. It's been a while.First .I'll say the food was good. Customer service sucks. I asked how many pieces of meat come with the order. The young lady said the chef will not allow that. I asked again. She said the same thing .I was asking because I was trying to decide whether to get the $29.99or$36.00 order .Obviously she misunderstood what I was asking. Nothing in this world is free. I work for a living .I would never ask for anything extra ,if I wasn't paying for it. She takes the order back and proceeds to tell whoever was back there about the conversation she had all wrong. I heard whoever was fixing the food say she's not getting it . So now I'm confused.I'm not getting what? I couldn't hear everything she said but she mentioned something about me apologizing .For what ?because you misunderstood. I've never had a problem before when I went there.I started to ask for my money back after hearing some of what she thought she heard. But I decided to wait .I just want eat there anymore .I hope she doesn't do that with anyone else. It's not in my character to act stupid .So I'll just leave it at that.

This Jamaican restaurant is a hidden Gem in Covington, GA! Being Jamaican born and raised myself, I take special interest in finding and trying different Jamaican restaurants when I come across them near and far! As of February 2023, and as far as I know, this is 1 of 2 Jamaican restaurants in Covington. Though I haven’t tried the other restaurant as yet, Ms. Gwen has me loyal to her restaurant as her food is authentic and makes me feel so nostalgic! Here are a few reasons why I am loyal to this restaurant:1. The Oxtail is soft, juicy, and seasoned just right!2. The J*** chicken, both the spicy and the sweet is really tasty.3. Her chicken soup tastes and feels like a nurturing mother’s home cooked soup and just-what-the-doctor-orders when you need a soup to help you recover from a cold or flu, which is SOOO needed this flu/winter season. Additionally, my favourite thing about the soup from Ms. Gwen’s is that it is not too salty, unlike so many chicken soups around.Though there are other items on the menu, these are the only items I cycle through each time I go there, as I REALLY like what I like.In closing, each time I eat from Gwen’s, I feel as though I am back home on the island of Jamaica. Thank you Ms. Gwen.

was very disappointed to spend 4.99 on a jamaican soda that is sold in dollar tree… also, thought i was chewing on bones and when i spit it out, it was clusters of very hard rice.. throughout my whole dish… food made my stomach very upset. not sure if some stuff was old or not.

I thoroughly enjoy Jamaican food and I've eaten a lot of it from many different places. I must say, the j*** chicken is the best I've ever had. I've been here 4 times now and it's consistently out of this world. I haven't had anything else because i know what the j*** is all about. Can't wait to have the curry goat and oxtail. The sides of the entrees are awesome too. 5 stars for Gwen.

I'm from NY and this is just like a classic hometown Jamaican spot. Good food, priced not so bad.. service is good.. last time I went they took a little long with my food and the girl behind the counter gave me a drink in the house... nice, I'll keep going back.Vegetarian options: You can't go wrong with the cabbage, rice and plantains
