Very friendly staff with a great waitress. I ordered the smokehouse pick 3 with honey chipotle crisps, smoked jalapeño cheddar sausage, and a half order of brisket quesadilla. My oder also comes with fries and a garlic toast. Some time after we had all ordered one party members order couldn’t be made so we were let know and the order had to be changed.First round came out and the reorder only arrived slightly later. Manager came to table personally to apologize and explain that the chili was going through a change of vendor and compensated with a different item, fantastic guy very friendly! We realized we were missing a max and cheese and let someone know that we just didn’t want it and to take it off the bill. Again our service was excellent!!!Fries 5/5:Crispy and potatoey! Good temperature with a fantastic salty seasoning, a great fry!Brisket quesadilla 5/5:Top edge crispy and crunchy to perfection, brisket soft and squishy due to the shredded cheese, very great with sweet, savory, and Smokey sauce!Garlic Soft no crunch taste like it was the oven bankable from Walmart .Cheddar jalapeño sausage 5/5:Perfect snappy casing casing filled with juicy meaty inside with hot spicy kick and cheesy counterpart. Fantastic sausage!Honey chipotle chicken 3.9/5Sweet with a small spicy flavor and kick, chicken dispute it’s looks not very crispy for being “crispers” very flavorful but not fantastic, overall a decent tender!Total: 4.18/5“

“Melissa was our bartender. I haven’t been to tacos in a while and when we found out she was at the bar again we went not only 1 day that week but 3 times! We ordered the southern tacos and the ahi tuna tostadas with cold cerveza and a coconut margarita we won’t forget ! Melissa poured our drinks perfectly. Best place to get great service, drinks and grub!“

“Street tacos and Beto's Burrito with shrimp are our go-to's. The Alhambre, fish and shrimp tacos are my usual, but today I tried the taco with nopales & it was delicious! I have a new favorite!Update 2024: I've been to other locations and this one is STILL my favorite!!! Not only do I enjoy the food more here... I appreciate the overall experience. The staff is so welcoming and I enjoy being able to have conversations with the staff, in Spanish. Today, I met Jorge and the chef! ?“

“I've had like 30 tacos since my last post. All of them being Al Pastor tacos. I can still say I haven't had a bad taco yet. The bank account isn't getting hit hard either with the low prices! I still get a drink as well! Amazing place! Almost heaven!“

“Great place to eat and great environment. The staff are friendly and provide awesome service. The hostess is quick to seat you and provide you with utensil's and a menu. Bartenders are awesome and fast to pour your drinks. Overall great service! Will always come back!“

“Nice restaurant decor, great service. Plentiful selections on menu. Had a lunch burrito that sounded tasty. Food came out piping hot & plentiful however an ingredient listed on the menu which helped me make the decision to order that item wasn't inside the burrito. This was disappointing as mex beans are part of what makes the dishes so good along with the rice sides. The chips were fresh and the salsa hotter than most places serve. In general El Sombrero could have been better but worth a second visit to see if this was just a fluke experience. We'll see.Parking: Strip mall off enota drive with many spaces available.“

“This was my delivery order;1. Triple Dipper™• Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers® ∙ Honey-Mustard• Southwestern Eggrolls• Southwestern Eggrolls(The chicken was dry in some areas missing the sauce, which is why I chose this choice. No honey mustard as asked. And, I also requested plastic wares and none was delivered in the bag. This is the second time I’ve had this happen from this same location. Won’t be using this location again). Delivery was fine.“

“This place has a special place in my heart. Back when I used to go to Gainesville college (before it became UNG), my friends and I would come here for their pupusas. For just $8 bucks (back then) or less, it would be enough to fill us for the day. I came when it first opened and the interior is still the same. It's dark and not a place I would say cozy. The only thing on their menu that I always come back and back again is their tamales. It's different than the regular tamales that you're used to. It's made out of potatoes instead of corn so the texture is soft and melts in your mouth. Their seasoning is just right; actually, it's perfect in my opinion. Since my UNG/Gainesville day, I have moved to Cali and have tried high and low, near and far, all the Salvadorian places I can find. No places tamales match this place. Every time I come home to GA for a visit, I would always make sure to stop by. I had their pupusas and tacos before but it's been awhile. I remember them tasting pretty good. Maybe I should order some next time. Their melon drink is the best. Not too sweet, not too strong in melon flavor. Its honestly perfect in my option.“

“What I loved: They start you off with a free tostada de ceviche de Marlin. It’s quite good and almost makes you want to order some along with your order but depending on your dish, you may not get the chance to enjoy due to the portions. The service was amazing and our server was very attentive with us! The seafood soup was alright. The bread that comes along with it is buttered and toasted. I would get the soup again just for that side of bread. The kid shrimp quesadilla is to die for. Simply delicious. I ordered a ceviche peruano and I was not disappointed! I always get it to go and was saddened to see the portion go down significantly. Or maybe it’s because of the dish they brought it out in.The not so good: Getting out of the parking lot is a hassle because Atlanta Hwy is always busy. The parking lot in general is hard to park in because everyone is tightly packed. Our food took about 40 minutes to come out. I’m not sure what was going on but other reviews seem to say the same thing about the long wait time. Be prepared to wait. The music is also very loud and we were seated a little further away from the noise which was greatly appreciated.The customer service made the long wait time worth it. There are definitely other dishes that we would like to try.“
