“What a fun night. The Optimist is a wonderful place to celebrate an event. The staff helped surprise the award winner with champagne and a congratulations sign on the table, and continued making his night throughout dinner. Started with raw oysters and octopus. Loved the spicy honey on the octopus. Shared the apple and blue cheese salad with a friend and another had the she-crab soup. Then entrees, a lobster roll, mahi-mahi and halibut. Sides were cauliflower and hush puppies. All plates were clean. I do wish my mahi-mahi had a bit more flavor. The best part was dessert. The chocolate pudding cake was to die for. The staff out did themselves with the presentation.Kid-friendliness: They have a small outdoor putting green for kids.“
“O-Ku never misses, and this restaurant is literally my favorite place in Atlanta. My fiance and I were celebrating our Birthdays and Joe and Jazmine really made this birthday special for us. We were greeted by Joe, who is always super friendly and inviting. He also added beautiful flowers to the table due to the occasion. Our waitress, Jazmine, was also super friendly and knowledgeable and added the final touches to a perfect date night/celebration. As always, thanks for the great time =D“
“Jolie was an amazing waitress! She gave us recommendations when we were indecisive on what to choose she also made sure our drinks were full and checked in on us often. Please visit and ask for Jolie you will not be disappointed with her service. And the food was perfect great portions and seasoned. It was delicious!“
“The space is very small and parking is limited, however everything is made up with the atmosphere and food quality. When I entered the establishment, it was very quick to get me seated (the days i been.) and I was able to soak in the atmosphere. The music choices is very diverse and it keeps the bibe going. They have a decorated bar and they have it centered and you are clearly able to see the drink choices.Food was amazing and tasted every single bite. The food was balanced and no flavor was dominating the other. I ordered the Etoufee bowl with shrimp as my protein. I enjoyed the girl shrimp and the bowl did everything it needed to do and it was on the first bite that I knew i needed to come back. Moreover, I tried their mac n cheese with crawfish, when I took a bite… I was amazed on how creamy the mac n cheese was. It tasted amazing when I took a bite with the crawfish and made me want to order more.I took some of my mac n cheese to go since I was full and the reheating in the microwave did not lose the creaminess nor flavor which is amazing!Vegetarian options: They had vegan options and it was plenty for vegans to enjoy!Parking: The parking option is small, but still enough to get people parked.“
“Amazing fish spot. My wife and I had Blackened grouper, ceviche, and tuna tartare, and every dish was one of the best we had ever had. Tight, intimate setting. Excellent for a relaxed but high quality date night.I've also picked up fish from there to cook for dinner at home and it was incredible. Very high quality.“
“I wanted to try a Michelin star restaurant. This place did not disappoint! The parking was free! The staff was so kind. It was not hoity toity either. I didn't need to know the cutlery as they brought out new pieces for each course. It was the most expensive meal I've ever had ($200+/plate) so I don't recommend bringing kids! The attire was more laid back than we expected, which was also nice. S/O took off his tie. ?It was a great experience.“
“A friend brought me for my first time and it was absolutely amazing. Our server Haileigh was so quick, attentive, and kind. She was also a hoot and a holler to converse with inbetween orders. Lamont came to check on us too and made sure we were comfy cozy and just every staff we interacted with brought a certain je ne sais quio to the environment. The brunch was so good (we got deviled eggs, oysters, and the salmon toast and avocado toast). I HAVE to come back with a big group immediately. Beetlecat brought the vibes yall!“
“lots of options for seafood boiled seafood, something I'm admittedly not very familiar with. i opted for fried calamari, which was decent. prices are in line with other places in Decatur, which is to say a little pricey. service and atmosphere were good, went during lunchtime and there were several other tables enjoying interesting looking meals. i do think their "adult capri suns" and mocktails are smart moves to have on their drinks menu, too.“
“Amazing food from appetizers to the bennetts! I know I'm spelling it wrong but they were great! Worth the price!Vegetarian options: If you want no meat there are plenty of choicesKid-friendliness: No seafood places really have kid menu they do!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp right where you park“
“Food and service was amazing but we came with a large group and were seated in the back where it was warmer. I got the catfish and loved the potatoes and coleslaw. The coleslaw was spicy which which was perfect with the meal. Was so good we went back 2 other times in a week stay.“
“I took myself on a solo date, the first one since my partner went on deployment 2 months ago. I felt awkward and was watching YouTube videos my whole dining experience but Rhett(I hope that’s the servers name) was patient and kind! I enjoyed all the food and the wine. I didn’t feel pressured to leave since I was alone taking up a table. He even went over the deserts for me and help me come to a decision on the best one and I really enjoyed it!The oysters were fresh, the salmon tartar was delicious, and the almond torte was to die for! Will definitely return!“
“I had some down time before my flight and had an awesome experience at Cat Coras. The host was so cheerful, inviting and over accommodating. My waitress Janelle was the sweetest. She was very professional. She knew the menu and even accommodated me on my drink of choice. The food and drinks were amazing and cost effective.I'll definitely be returning.“
“Me and my mom came here today and the whole experience was amazing. The food was amazing and our waitress Jalissa was perfect. The ambiance and atmosphere was very welcoming and calm. Lobster bites 5/5 Salmon bites 5/5 Cornbread 5/5 Grilled Lamb Chops, mashed potatoes and broccolini 5/5 Stuffed Chicken Breast 5/5 (The mushroom sauce on the chicken was amazing) Girl Gurls World (cocktail) 5/5 We will definitely be returning very soon So I doubled back tonight for another round of stuffed chicken breast and cornbread“
“Have been getting COVID-19 omakase with Yasu! And I cannot recommended it enough! Every single little detail is not missed even though it is take out. By far one of the best Omakase take in Atlanta currently for it’s price. The amount of food is easily 2-3 times the other omakase and yet the same quality. ❤️“
“I usually order fish and fried rice which are really good. On Saturday, I ordered whole wings and rice and those wings were so delicious! While waiting for my food, I always enjoy meeting some of the friendly customers, and Steve really makes you feel welcome. So don't just take my word, stop by and try it for yourself!“
“This restaurant and the people that work here are so very special. The food is spectacular…thats a given. The atmosphere and the staff are what make it feel like you are with friends and family and you are home. It truly is my happy place. ❤️“
“Hello fellow #foodiesofatl we want to share our Foodie Friday visit at @fontainesatl in the N. Highlands Area of Atlanta.Let's start off with the vibes. It was low key, the staff was friendly, and the food service was very quick. Speaking of the food we had some positives and some neutrals. Here is what we had:Cajun Rice Balls ❤️❤️❤️These were simply "okay". We wouldn't order them again because there was nothing special about them. We have had tons of great rice balls in Atlanta and this is at the bottom of the list. They were just dull.John's Famous Cold Crab dip with pita points❤️❤️❤️Same as the rice balls, not bad just dull. Would not order again. The pita points were a nice touch though and were warm and soft.NOLA oysters ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Okay, finally something we loved. These were amazing. We will be back for these again and will order no appetizers. We should have ordered this twice lolCatfish Seafood Basket ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Cooked perfectly, not too much breading, hot and crunchy on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside. Came with really good fries with cajun seasoning.Crawfish Tails Basket ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Cooked perfectly, not too much breading, hot and Crispy. This was really awesome!!The oysters and fried seafood were great. The appetizers left much too be desired. We decided if we back we will go straight in for oysters and fried seafood. We will be back for sure for the seafood!!#fontainesoysterhouse#virginiahighlands #t_vfooduniverse2024 #T_vfooduniverse #foodielover #foodbloggersofatlanta #seafoodlovers #seafoodatl #atlbites #atlantaeats #oysters #goodeats404 #atlantablogger #foodiesforlife #atlantarestaurantscene #bestofatlantaeats #foodietakeover #friedseafood #yummyeats #atlantanights #foodscene #bestfriends #atlantaga #atlantalife #atlantablogger #foodhype #foodfinders #foodreels #foodcoma #atlantafridays“
“When I walked in the lady working was really nice. she asked me if it was my first time, and I said yes, she explained the menu to me and A little history about their restaurant, and made me feel comfortable. I ordered the omelette and pancakes. Food was good.“
“Initially we were disappointed at the reduced menu options compared to our last visit and there may be people who wouldn't find choices that they liked. I had two small plates rather than a larger dish. My mussels were really very good and the scallops were even better. The service was excellent. Prices are a bit steep, but I was very happy with my food and with the service.“
“I stopped by for dinner here about a month ago while on a business trip. I was there during their golden hour, 4-6PM. The restaurant is clean and decorated with bright nautical decor. It wasn't very busy at all since I was there between the more traditional lunch and dinner hours and on a Tuesday. I was the only one dining in at the time . Ordering is super easy, you mark off everything you want on a laminated ordering card and hand it to the cashier. The service was wonderful. The staff were very friendly but also gave me my space to dine comfortably as a solo diner. Food was so good, fresh, filling but healthy. They also have all kinds of sauces other than your traditional tartar and cocktail sauces that were all a match for any taste preference and paired perfectly with the fish. Not that the fish or any of the food needed anything to make it better. It was already very good on its own. The golden hour specials were a welcomed surprise given how expensive everything is everywhere these days, especially seafood. My food was like $7 off, I had a dinner plate that's regularly $22 that is only $15 during golden hour and I had a glass of wine for only $5. As I ate I noticed many people dropped in to pick up their preorders. They seem to have a very efficient "order ahead" system. I would love to eat here again and wish there was one where I live. Sadly I will have to wait until I find myself back in Atlanta.“
“Service was top notch!Food was quite good….only complaint was the fish in the fish and chips. It was very small potions…reminded me of the frozen battered fish I buy from time to time…see photo. I would not order it again. The tacos were good as was the chicken sandwich. They were out of the crab cakes unfortunately.Other than that it was a good spot while awaiting our connecting flight. ✈️“
“My dinner at Ray's was a simply magical! Tee was our waitress and she was superb! Tee communicated clearly, got all of the meals delivered at almost the same time for our party of 15. All drink orders were correct and she even delivered hot towels after dinner.“
“Great for a first time experience! I went with my girlfriend tonight. Jay had phenomenal customer service. He made sure our needs were met & still made room to joke around to ensure we were smiling. AB was very kind & shared similar traits, as well. Great personalities.Great atmosphere.“
“Came to eat here tonight with my parents, they celebrated their birthdays earlier this month and we decided to step it up a notch and go downtown for a combined meal this year.Valet parking only here, they work off gratuities so remember that as they run to get your car as it was pouring outside tonight! We were immediately seated at our scheduled time, in a table I had sat in before with coworkers in the corner. The manager heard me speaking about it and how I enjoyed that with my colleagues he offered to put me there once again. Super cool, great view of the dining area and very quiet in the corner. I think my parents really enjoyed that. Antrane was our server and she crushed it tonight. Came over and took our drink order then proceeded to absolutely kill it for me tonight; made me look like a good son!For apps- we went with the Wagyu bbq short ribs, and the Lobster fritters and split a wedge salad between the three of us, they also chopped and split the portions for us. I'm going to tell you that the short ribs were crazy good, melt in your mouth barely a need to chew. The lobster fritters were perfectly cooked, beautiful texture and flavor. Wedge salad was so flavorful with the homemade dressing and pappadew peppers- what a new flavor on a traditional salad. My dad and I split the steak for two (porterhouse), cooked to perfection. My mother got an 8 oz strip and she normally gets it cooked well done. She was mowing the steak down and we had two sides of sauce to try- Bernaise and peppercorn. Both were super flavorful and enhanced the steak (truth be told the steak is the star and didn't need sauce)As for sides: creamed spinach and scalloped sweet potatoes (full portions) charred jalapeños creamed corn and roasted mushrooms (half portions). We ate more than we normally would've, but it seemed too good to stop. They were super generous to give both my parents a complimentary dessert since they have back to back bdays in March. My dad took one of each sorbet flavors (mango, pear, strawberry) and my mother did the vanilla bread pudding with cheesecake ice cream. My goodness! After all that food and a bottle of wine, still cleaned the plates! It's unheard of in our family. On the walk out, I noticed Chef Rathbun and he spoke with us for a few minutes. Told him I'd been familiar with his work and watched him and his brother battle on Iron Chef. We have been to many steakhouses in Chicago but this one really is next level. My thanks to the kitchen and Antrane, and especially Chef Rathbun for a memorable evening. It's super cool to get to meet chefs who are so talented and the staff that make them look bigger than rock stars for special moments like this.“
“Thank you to the owner Crystal and all her staff the food was amazing and the drinks are definitely what they are suppose to be.!!! The prices were reasonable and it was such a good vibe. I even got up and danced a little to the music. Great vibes I highly recommend.“
“Food was decent, went with the catfish basket and extra order of hushpuppies. Catfish was fried to a golden perfection. Could have used just a tad bit more seasoning. Didn't really taste the jalapeño in the hush puppies. Which I was looking forward to. Hush puppies were also a little too doughy. Tartar sauce was very good actually. Calamari was Olay too.... nothing to really rave about. I'm willing to try this place one more time though. Rooftop seating was nice and comfortable.“
“My experience at Le Petit Marche was so exquisite and beyond exceeded my expectations so much to where I had to take the time to write a review about it. Staff/Service: From the time you walk in you feel like you’ve walked into the home of someone you know who was excitedly anticipating your arrival. The smiles from the host staff, the greetings from every staff member on the way to your table, with the added bonus of receiving a hug from our waiter was like nothing I’ve experienced anywhere else in Atlanta. Our waiter made us feel like we were truly special and created a pocket of bliss and space of happiness in the day of everyone at the table. Food: The unique culinary creations and flavor blends of the dishes was impeccable. From the most cutest brunch tacos I’ve ever seen made with french toast tortillas and bacon, to the best tasting beignets, herb parmesean fries, and salad topped with house-made spiced crotons and perfectly grilled shrimp, my tongue was in heaven. Every bite amazingly delcious!!! Five Stars is literally not enough. Thank you to everyone at Le Petit Marche. You are unforgettable and I can not wait to dine with you again!“
“My cousins invited me here for brunch while I was in town and it was spot on. The food was savory. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. She was detail-oriented and recommended some great items for us to try. I frequent the area a lot so we will definitely be back.“
“One of the coolest places to dine out on the beltline. The architecture and interiors of the place are just amazing. You instantly feel like being transported to a high end garden with beautiful tree plants every where. The servers were probably the highlight. Very attentive and friendly, made our experience even better. The second highlight is their crispy brussel sprouts. I can still taste the scrumptious blend of flavors. It’s perfectly sweet and crunchy along with a hint of spice. The cod was our second favorite. Cooked to perfection with a flavorful sauce accompanied on a bed of vegetables. The pork belly was a good attempt but definitely my least favorite. But overall a great place to eat and can’t wait for second round.“
“First time coming here was a great experience. From the time I walked through the door I was greeted by every staff member which made me feel very welcomed. Walking in and looking around reminded me of the show “cheers”. I also enjoyed the great and rotation selection of local beers and the honest feedback from the bartenders. It seems to be a great neighborhood bar where people from the area frequent. The only recommendation is I wished the had a variety of oyster options and be careful with the horseradish, a little goes a long way but overall great experience and I will be returning.“
“Food was absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was divine. We had squid, octopus, fried green tomatoes, swordfish, trout, tuna, steak, and a burger. The drinks were delicious! The dessert is definitely worth the try! Butterscotch was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was so laid back but the food was gourmet. It's woman owned and the food is locally sourced.Parking: $4 Valet. Our driver was super nice!Kid-friendliness: They have outdoor seating and lots to look out. The kids enjoyed the nature elements.“
“I had been watching stories on IG about this place and we love crawfish so on Friday April 5th, my husband and I traveled almost 2 hrs to get a pickup order. We had got them for a gathering we were having the next day. We managed to eat a few in the car on our way back home so we could try them fresh. Man were they good!! And heating them up the next day did not disappoint. They had to have been the best we have ever had.Very friendly service. I’m planning on returning this Friday.“
“The place was super busy and popular! Arrived with a party of 7, but since we didn't have a reservation, we were told it would be a 2 hour wait since our party was so large. 4 of us sat at the bar and ended up ordering our food there.Jenn our bartender/waitress was not very friendly. She seemed irritated we were there. My amaretto sour was perfect! Our food took at least an hour to bring out, but I sat next to a very nice local man, named Carl who told me the history of Ted's while I waited. The balsamic blue steak was very flavorful. Lots of balsamic so I didn't even need the ranch dressing, but the ranch is the good ranch (if you know you know). The parmesan broccoli was watery and needed salt and pepper. If you want to go here I suggest making a reservation. It was busy the entire 2.5 hrs we were there.“
“Staff was nice the atmosphere was the bomb the ambiance made you want to stay all night and the food was good i just wish my lamb chops came with some veggies or a side of rice for the price???. Overall nice time and I will definitely come back again????????“
“Food is ALWAYS delicious! Great portions. Always fresh and never taste old or refrigerated, no matter if it's day or night. I don't go here for the experience. I literally order online and go in to pick it up then leave. Sometimes the parking attendant is rude when I say I just want to pick up food but I guess he just be busy with his flow and high I understand. I don't like their new online system. It charges me for extra stuff that I don't need and there's no way to not get it. But over all, top 5 favorite food kitchen in Atlanta, downtown area.“
“Kema was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing and so polite ! The food was so delicious and hot! The wings where so huge and delicious! I also had the carrot cake it was good and the Purple Haze was strong but it wasnt purple which was disappointing it was good thou! I really wished the music would stay on thou it was a good vibe until the music cut off!“
“This is our local Tex Mex restaurant so I’ve been here a few times. The first few I struggled to find something I really liked on the menu but this time I tried the shrimp quesadilla and it was surprisingly great! The tortilla was stuffed with big, juicy shrimp. I also had the cantina margarita which wasn’t my favorite (tasted too much like sour mix). The service was fantastic though so I’d still recommend it for those in the area.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian combo section“
“Cozy place! You feel good vibes when you walk through the door. The waitress was nice and genuinely friendly. She was very knowledgeable of the menu, especially the beer options. I am not much of a beer drinker, but she gave me a few samples that were so bomb that I had to order one. For food, we tried the ultimate quad oysters, fried catfish bites, cajun crawfish egg rolls, and the cajun cheese fries(they looked so dang good that I started digging in before the pic but still had to include it) . It was all delicious. We are already planning our next trip to try other menu options. Just a little need to know, the parking seems to be mainly street parking. This is a very busy area, so it's a little hard to find a spot. We parked about 2 blocks away and walked, which we didn't mind, and it was definitely worth it. Give them a try, I promise you won't be disappointed!“
“10/10 I recommend. I went here with family to celebrate my birthday and we enjoyed everything. The food, atmosphere and great customer service. The waitresses were amazing. It is not easy to handle a big party but they were amazing. Also, the food was fresh taste so good. Also their drinks are good I had the BBL ? I will definitely be back“
“I've been in here a few times for late night cocktails and small bites. I haven't had a bad thing yet. The cocktail menu is lovingly crafted by the in-house bartenders. They're more than happy to explain their methodology and engage you in conversation. It's a fairly small location and the skewers are grilled right in front of you. A very neat spot in the Virginia Highlands were stopping in“
“We sat at the bar with Houston & he was amazing! Made great suggestions & was very attentive & just a joy to sit with. We really appreciate his great service & friendly personality! We will absolutely be back to sit at th bar with him!“
“TLDR: Tasty flavors, fresh crab and shrimp, sweet corn, and rustic interior. The service was super slow on a Sunday afternoon. Great food pricing! Tip: No need to valet for $10... just park in front of the Publix :) My favorite part of seafood boils is the shrimp and the corn and both were perfect! I got the juicy crab combination flavor and it was amazing (just bit too salty). We waited over 20 minutes to be seated but once we ordered, the food came out in less than 10. Great portion for the price!“
“So I have passed this location so many times while living in S Fulton but I never stopped. MY FAULT!!We were having a fish fry and me not being from the South, I really don't care for whiting with the skin-on. I wanted skinless. I called and they have an automated system that tells you what they have fresh for the day as well as the previously frozen.I bought all the skinless whiting they had. The service was fast. The staff was friendly. They even told me if I waited maybe 20 mins there would be more skinless whiting available and to me, that's awesome service! The fish us packed with ice so it stays cold on your way home. Its definitely worth the drive, if they have what you want.“
“Nice casual restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating right on the beltline. Their menu is seafood forward. Great place to stop for a quick bite while walking on the beltline or surrounding area. You will need to find parking on the street as there is no on-site parking. Not far from Krog St and along the ATL Beltline so it super easy to get to.Updating my review and bumping to 5-stars due to being as good or better than the first time. 3/17Parking: All street parking so spaces are first find. This is located within the Reynoldstown neighborhood where parking is very limited. I would park at Krog St then walk to the restaurant. Gives you a great opportunity to explore and walk off what you ate!Wheelchair accessibility: The patio is open and has ample room for wheelchair access. The interior is small so space will be tight. The outdoor area has the best views and ambiance.“
“Had last minute dinner here while passing by and it was a great choice! The combo dinners are a great deal and you get a decent amount of food for the price, especially for Japanese cuisine. The only hiccup was they got our order wrong but was quickly fixed, but we had also seen a table next to us get the wrong order. Very small space but we were seated quickly on a Sunday night. Space is tight so it was awkward to balance a purse in the seat and also make sure it won’t get knocked over. There’s a designated parking lot in the back and other parking options nearby.Parking: Tight lot in the back. Host can tell you more options at a nearby restaurant/street.“
“There wasn't a bad thing about this place. Had the stuffed shrimp for an appetizer, I had twin filet, wife had the bourbon salmon, kids had chicken strips and cheese burger. For desert we went with our servers recommended oreo cheesecake and it was all perfect. If I had to pick one thing I didn't like it would be that it's two hours from home. Our server Xavier was top notch and absolutely found his calling. He is what customer service is all about. You will not be disappointed.“
“Those is a great place to eat. It has a wine bar set up, slightly dem lighting, and the service was excellent. I asked the bartender is they had lemonade and she stated they could make. And I'll be...she made me lemonade from freshly squeezed lemons. It was lovely. I had the cheese burger and added bacon, lettuce and tomatoes to it. It was delicious. You could taste the quality of the meat. That with their signature ketchup on the burger made me a fan for life.“
“For the first time I've tried something new this was absolutely amazing the service and food is on point not to mention they play some amazing up tempo music. If your in the Atlanta area come by and check them out in Forest ParkParking: Parks are right up front“
“Fish, hush puppies and fries were great. Be aware they add a good bit of salt and seasoning so if you don't want as much request less in advance. The banana pudding I got to wash it all down had no bananas. Not sure where that comes from but it was only vanilla pudding w a few wafer on top. Waste of extra $5.“
