If I ever find myself in downtown Macon, Famous Mike's will definitely be on my radar. Our usual breakfast stop is there, mainly because we can't resist the allure of their cheese grits and French toast. During our last visit, Mike Seekins, the owner and chief, took the time to personally come out and chat with us, even offering a couple of insights into the secrets behind his delicious cheese grits. Nearby breakfast spot open until 1pm M-Sat. I love their moist biscuits, as well as their tater tots and their ability to customize your dish if the ingredients are available. Standard pricing, but sometimes the wait staff may forget an item requested and when busy longer wait times for sitting or follow up service. Nice staff always.
