I don't eat bbq. My husband loves BBQ. So I just eat the sides which are the size for a 2 year old toddler. And not cheap either.

Thanks for nothing for changing your hours to where you are barely open now. I am glad that you are not the only barbecue place in town so back to Shane's.

Great service ordered a slab of ribs without sauce, the slab was small for the price and my family didn't like the pulled pork & pulled chicken sandwiches. It was late that evening when boughtMay be better when freshly

We have been eating at Pippins for decades! Best overall BBQ on the south side (IMHO). Their BBQ is the standard we judge all other BBQ by. Their pulled pork is great. Their slaw is the only slaw I eat at any restaurant. Their Brunswick stew is hands down the best anywhere!! I love brisket but have never tried Pippins’ brisket until tonight…..and all but two bites went in the trash. The brisket had a very rubbery texture when chewed and had an odd taste…..hubs thought so too. So, I highly recommend you come enjoy their pulled pork plates, but skip the brisket!

Worst bbq I’ve ever had!! Wouldn’t recommend at all.

If I could leave half a star I would. I ordered the Family Meal and a pint of "Mac and Cheese " which is big ziti noodles.... Definitely not worth the money and would not call this BBQ. Should've gone to Shane's and got my money's worth.

Mac and cheese consist of 5 long ziti noodles stuffed in a 2oz cup no cheese, just oil. 3 out of the 5 noodles were almost burnt.Got a pulled pork plate with 2 sides..Cole slaw was literally head of cabbage cut up,mayo and sugar. They should call it something else….Cabbage pieces range from micro mini to whole leaf. All size pieces in a cup just for you!pulled pork was cold and taste very piggy. Almost like chitterlings. Undercooked pork!!!!Yuck $18 down the drain. When I ordered, the lady asked if I would like my plate Cold or hot… that was strange… I said Hot… got a plate of cold food. What a joke!!

I had a brisket sandwich. I understand that smoked meat is pink but this was just plain undercooked. Wife had pork which was cold. Looking for new places around town to try. Can't say I was impressed.

Ehhh, 1st visit here today.Won't be heading back.I got a #2, comes with 2 sides.... the size of the sides were ridiculously small! 3oz maybe. The pork and Brunswick stew were good, but did not enjoy any of their 4 bbq sauces. They were all watery.

Came here bc the rating was 4.5/5 and it was local. Something must be very challenging for them, the person serving us said they were short staffed, and this is truly affecting them. We got 3 specials: a chicken, brisket, and rib sandwiches w/ mac n chesse, baked beans, corn bread, and chips. The baked beans and brownie was the best out of the meals we had. The server was sweet and did offer us a replacement for the pasta bc she said it was the last of it, it was hard and stale. The bread on the brisket n chicken sandwiches was also stale and all the meat was tough. Lastly, our corn bread ? it looked nice but the taste was like eating a bread soaked in canola oil. We spent about $50 and it was a let down. I hope they get help, we love supporting local businesses. Good luck.
