For appetizers I highly recommend the bao buns, soup dumplings, spring rolls, scallion pancakes, and fried eggplant. If you like heat the cumin beef or lamb are delicious with the right amount of heat. For milder you can't go wrong with the Mongolian beef, chicken, or lamb. The roasted duck is also of our go to dishes.“

“Buttafly Kisses is fantastic. My wife and I have been a few times now. We typically like to sample different cupcakes, cookies, and the banana pudding all of which has been good. Since my wife is vegan, there are not a lot of options like this around, and this year I wanted to see if they could do a cookie cake for us. They of course were able to make it happen, and we took it a step further to do a double-layer cookie cake with icing in the middle. It was amazing. They were so nice to try something new, and I know we'll continue to come back.“

“Where to begin...this will be a long review, so, sorry in advance. Our experience with The Marietta Local began when I reached out to them regarding catering for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. Since then, we have nothing but positive things to say. We have been dealing mainly with the owner, Jim, who has been extremely accommodating to us. Every phone call, meeting, etc. he has been our point of contact, which I feel like is rare. Before we even fully committed to Marietta Local for our catering, Jim invited us into the restaurant for a meal and told us to try whatever we wanted. We were not disappointed! We had meatloaf, nashville hot chicken, grits, quinoa salad, collard greens, plus a couple more items that I cannot recall at this time -- everything we had was spectacular! We were served quickly and the staff was so pleasant. We got to sit down with the chef, Emily, and talk through our menu preferences, and she assured us the one thing we would not have to worry about is our food, she had it all under control; which, for anyone who has ever planned a wedding and knows the stress, this was so re-assuring to us. I cannot say enough good things about Emily. She is an incredible human and an even better chef.That same visit, we got to meet Jim in person. His personality is infectious. You can tell he is genuinely so proud of his restaurants and I think that shows in the food and service they put out. While our wedding events are not until this weekend, 3/15-16, I can truthfully say I do not have a single concern about our food, but will definitely write another review or edit this one, post-wedding. I cannot wait for our family and friends to try everything that we have planned with The Marietta Local!TLDR; service and food is 10/10, whether it is catering or breakfast/lunch dine-in. If I'm not familiar with the area i head on over to Yelp. This place showed 2 locations and one was very close to the house. I Checked out the menu and it looked delicious with a 4.2 stars. So my very pregnant daughter and i walk in and the 2 gentlemen working greeted us with a smile and asked if it was our first time. Well Yes! Yes it is. They were very informative and had big colorful posters of some of the best sellers on the wall showing the ingredients. My daughter opted to build her own smoothie and i got the Tropical Blast, which consists of Pineapple, strawberry, mango, cranberry and apple juice. Delicious! I was going to get the Purple Rain but changed my mind last minute. They also offer supplements which i plan to take advantage of on my next visit. I hate i didn't get their names but my daughter was encouraged to ask her dr about natural ingredients that can help with lactation after she gives birth. As they were preparing our smoothies they also let us know about a Self-Love conference they are holding this Sunday. I like what they stand for and plan to frequent this business regularly!“
