We have absolutely loved eating here!! The only problem is we have never made it past the Grouper Tacos to try anything else!! They are the best we have ever had anywhere and when you pair it with the Jasmine Corn Risotto you will be in dinner heaven..:)..We try and do the tacos at least once a week!! A++++

Our server Shelby was fantastic! Had two mixed drinks, pecan old fashioned ($9) and Dixieland tea ($7) both were amazing! 6oz Steak and Mac and cheese ($18) smothered chicken with broccoli and fries ($23) pulled pork tacos and sweet potatoe fries ($18) all incredible! Fried okra shareable was fresh and yummy ($8)

The first time I went to John Henry's last Fall, I got a hamburger and wasn't impressed. Went again in January 2024 and ordered the Smothered Chicken and Jasmine Corn Risotto, and it knocked my socks off. It's like the Sunday Dinners your fancy Aunt used to make when you were a kid. It is really, really good. My wife loves their steaks. We both love the jalapeno cornbread - I could probably make a meal out of the cornbread by itself. Now we go every two or three weeks, and I couldn't be happier. This is my new favorite place to eat in Rome. My only complaint is that it's far too noisy in the restaurant - the brick walls just make everything echo. If they would put up some sound-control panels, it would greatly increase the ambiance of the place.
The jasmine and corn risotto is just white rice. It used to be the main reason we came, but it's just bland now.

No complaints with the food or service! Provided cornbread was wonderful. Both the 6oz steak & NY Strip were great. Salad bar was of good quality. I couldn't help but feel slightly nickel and dimed during my visit though - 50-cents for two glasses of water & an additional charge for paying with card. I'm sure several businesses just include this in the original mark up prices, but the optics of seeing it individually on the ticket just feels bad. Despite these minor inconveniences, it was worth a visit & would generally recommend.

Food is excellent. Steaks were cooked perfectly baked potatoes were hot and fluffy. They treat you with a cornbread that you want be able to stop eating. Service was great and we were well taken care of.
