Our server Shelby was fantastic! Had two mixed drinks, pecan old fashioned ($9) and Dixieland tea ($7) both were amazing! 6oz Steak and Mac and cheese ($18) smothered chicken with broccoli and fries ($23) pulled pork tacos and sweet potatoe fries ($18) all incredible! Fried okra shareable was fresh and yummy ($8)
The first time I went to John Henry's last Fall, I got a hamburger and wasn't impressed. Went again in January 2024 and ordered the Smothered Chicken and Jasmine Corn Risotto, and it knocked my socks off. It's like the Sunday Dinners your fancy Aunt used to make when you were a kid. It is really, really good. My wife loves their steaks. We both love the jalapeno cornbread - I could probably make a meal out of the cornbread by itself. We have absolutely loved eating here!! The only problem is we have never made it past the Grouper Tacos to try anything else!! They are the best we have ever had anywhere and when you pair it with the Jasmine Corn Risotto you will be in dinner heaven..:)..We try and do the tacos at least once a week!! A++++
