My uncle visiting from out of town wanted soul food for dinner but didn't want to drive too far. This restaurant was nearby us with great reviews. The food did NOT disappoint, everything is cooked freshly, delicious and worth the wait. Magic Soul Food's staff was professional and friendly - the chef even stopped by our table before we left. My teenage daughter is a picky eater, she ate ALL of her entree and most of my sides. Looking forward to our next visit!

(WICKED)For you guys to play church music on a Sunday . The customers service with your girls are very unapproachable and not appreciated. That’s really devil energy. The girls treat men better than the young ladies. Like what do you have against me. I just spent $67.00 with this business just to feel uneasy walking out of here. Your business has wicked energy and is not welcoming. And thanks for being out ofCornbread and not updating me on my 45 to one hour wait. Some women have a very disgusting heart . I’ll be praying for your business. Very unwelcoming energy. The church music is what kept me calm my whole entire wait. Praise GOD !!

Food was delicious, hot, and fresh. We were greeted with a warm welcome on a very slow day. Server was very tentative and engaging with my 6YO. I had the catfish dinner. Mac & cheese and collard greens were really delicious. Cornbread was moist and my daughter’s chicken and waffles were a hit. Got veggie plate to go for my husband who enjoyed it. We will go back. Seems like a great spot to host an event. They have a full bar. Bonus: bathrooms were clean and everything was in stock on the menu.

5 stars! Brought my mom here with my brother to celebrate her birthday. We were greeted with smiles, quickly seated, and catered to immediately. The atmosphere was great but the food was the MVP! I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo of our plates because we went to town immediately. My mom usually gets a to-go box but the food was so good, she left no crumbs. Our server was awesome and very personable. The owner and chef coming out to greet us was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be back.
Not sure why it wasn’t packed. The food was GREAT!! I had the Turkey Wings, Yams & Mac with the cornbread ?. My wife had the Jumbo Fried shrimp, Mac & Yams. Definitely will visit again next time we are on this side.
Took my family here for a birthday brunch. The food was piping hot and every bite had love included. Our server was polite and knowledgeable, made recommendations and was completely attentive.

Everything was unexpectedly perfect! Each item that we had pictured was seasoned to perfection! The music was a vibe, the atmosphere was welcoming, and our waitress Jayda and owner Shoni showed true hospitality! Will be back soon to try ummm EVERYTHING!

I should have learned my lesson about restaurants with grass walls but here I go again. My partner and I went around 530pm, shortly after opening to place an order to go. The place was empty. We were the only patrons so far. We ordered are food fairly quickly and waited. We waited, and waited some more. We didn't end up leaving until 647. We only ordered two entress, glazed salmon with cabbage and yams and turkey wings with Mac and cheese and greens.The wait wouldn't have been so bad if the customer service was better. Very rude, unapproachable, and unfriendly bartender. If I as a patron am just asking basic questions such as how long has this establishment been here and popular drinks or food and it is like you are being bothered then it really makes for a miserable experience. Especially when the place was empty for a majority of the time we were there.Around the 35 min mark another person arrived and ordered. Why did they get their food before we did and they ordered way more stuff. What made it so bad is the bartender brought his meal to us to take and we had to explain that was his. She finally went and asked the kitchen what was taking so long....apparently some salmon. Customer service focus would have atleast said lemme offer these people a drink while they waited. But again it seemed like she didn't want to be bothered with us.Let's get down to the food. One phrase NOT IT. The mac and cheese tasted like a Velveeta roux that made everyone who tried it gag. The greens were was over cooked and not seasoned. The cabbage was flavored weird and tasted old. The yams were not good and tasted canned with boatloads of brown sugar on it. None of the sides were good or seasoned well. The cornbread had no butter, no honey and was slightly burnt. The salmon was juicy and the sauce on it wasn't bad but it just wasn't good either. The turkey was dry. It was seasoned and dry. It all looked good on observation but none of this was.I do want to mention that the food we got looked way different from other people who gave this place five stars posted. Maybe their quality has tremendously gone down hill.ALSO, NONE OF THIS WAS SOULFOOD.

I was excited to try I drove from the airport. The reviews would have you anxious. I had the turkey wings and two sides. I had no complaints with with meat whatsoever. I don’t order yams but baby those are good yams if I say so. My only complaint was my Mac and cheese was wet and flavorless. Y’all know how we are about our man and cheese.
