Five Oaks Taproom is located in the IHG Indigo Hotel in the historic district in Savannah, which is where we were staying, so this restaurant and bar came handy. Although the service was top notch, the food and drinks were A-OK. With Savannah being such a food haven, I suspect only hotel guests dine and drink here. We came to the bar a few times where it was fun, especially when the bartender, Allie was working. She was super funny and friendly, and remembered hotel guests, which put a personal touch on the experience. The bar itself is not the largest, but has ample room for those getting drinks. There were TVs playing sports and when the place got muggy one day, they brought in a huge fan. Beer on tap was meh. Not a large selection of crafts. Good luck getting a good IPA. The restaurant was A-OK. We dined in for breakfast one day and on another day, I was able to get a breakfast meal to go for my flight home. The food wasn't bad, but not the best. I ordered the crab benedict, which was crab on top of a fried green tomato with a slight zesty aioli. Because of how rich the entrée was, it needed some bread or something lighter to cut through. My breakfast wrap was satisfactory. It had sausage, eggs, cheese, grilled onions and peppers. All in all, Five Oaks Taproom is primarily here for hotel guests, so expect a hotel bar and restaurant. You get the drift. Best part here was the friendliest staff - at the bar and dining area.

On 2/22, My husband and I went down to the bar where we sat being unacknowledged for roughly around 11 minutes. There where 2 bartenders. The female bartender has plenty of time to stop and check her phone twice while the guy never even looked at the other half of the bar. We sat there that long because we understand that people get busy. After her second phone check and not even being told "hey we'll be right there" when we sat, we just decided to leave. We were super disappointed because it was our anniversary and our last night in Savannah. We wanted to have a low-key night after such an eventful day.

Allie, our bartender was amazing! She was friendly and super engaging! Old Fashioned she mixed was the best, bar none! She puts a good face to Indigo Hotel! A true asset like her comes in rarity! Kodus!

So, I'm not going to lie, I was kinda let down by this place. Not that it was horrible, but I was expecting much more. I thought it was way bigger than it actually was, but it's definitely more hotel than anything. As for the menu, they had a decent amount of options, we both decided on the smash burger and parmesan fries. My fries were half warm, half cold, and half of them tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. The smash burger was decent but lacked flavor. Our drinks were pretty good, I could see this being a great place for drinks with friends. They have larger high-top tables with games you can play! Side Note: I didn't get a photo because this was the first meal I had all day, and I started eating immediately.?

There website is old so they don't have food or desserts. Customer service was weak. You had to make contact with them first after sitting at a table with no service for 5-10 minutes. Could do much better being a tourist destination.

Sous Chef Sir Channing is nice, funny, hilarious, and super energetic! Definitely the best service you can receive.

The service is terrible. Either limit the menu or hire more bartenders. It shouldn’t take 30 minutes to get one bottled beer. This place is ridiculous. The bartender was nice but definitely trying to do too much.

We did breakfast there, never again. The wait for food and bill were super long. Total time was an hour and a half . When we arrived there were only two other tables occupied so why the long wait? One person ordered a crab cake Benedict and it cold and inedible, they made my sandwich wrong, the other items (pancakes, french toast and hash browns were ok).

Breakfast was bad. I've had continental breakfast at Staybridge Suites that was better than this mess. $15 plates. The online menu is not accurate. Go elsewhere. I went because I was staying at this hotel. $32 later and heavy regret. Bad service too.

Allie (bartender) is the light of this place. She has brought such an amazing energy and connects to everyone she meets! Highly recommend her espresso martini! One of the best I've ever had.

Can't speak for the food as I spent my time here at the bar with my $25 a night drink credit from the hotel. Bar scene is small but worth it. It's a bit pricey but they make a mean Old Fashioned. Honestly it's a simple drink but so many places screw or up. They do it right here. Simple, tasty and well balanced. You won't be disappointed
