“Husband and wife owners have a great place here. Beautiful soft music in the background, excellent choices on the menu, and a full bar. The falafel plate we had was amazing. They were made with the right amount of spices and had perfect consistency. If you are in the area this place is a must try!Vegetarian options: The rice bowl was really good with lots of cashews and other adds making it packed full of nutrition.”
“Matt and his crew are absolutely incredible. This place is something special and you won’t want to miss it. Everyone is warm and friendly and the food and service and lodging were all A+. Don’t miss out on this place. My son, my brother, and I stayed here while doing some off-roading and being able to ride hard all day and then show up to a hot shower and a friendly face with a cold beer waiting for you is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.”
“I actually think I saw cowboy Bob. He had a great cowboy hat on. 10/10 hat. Also coffee is smooth and the donuts are really tasty. The staff however was not wearing cowboy hats.”
“I absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic and you can tell the guys definitely love what they do and take a lot of pride in it. This place also had some of the best customer service that I’ve experienced in a long long time. The staff was exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to take of me. Also, the location and the outside eating area is flipping adorable.”
“I really liked it, and very good options, for Breakfast and Lunch, but if it's a weekend you have to have time because there is a lot of waiting for both the place and the food, the service is good, only American coffee, but it's good.”
“My husband and I have frequently passed this place on his commute back and forth to Toccoa, Ga. Today we decided to stop in and give it a go finally after many times wanting to stop in. BEST. DAMN. DECISION. ??The burgers were cooked perfectly to temp and the homemade pimento cheese speaks to my southern heart. This is a true Georgia restaurant with true southern hospitality. Go DAWGS!And that banana bread French toast! OH MY STARS! So delish! We will definitely be back. Oh and try the homemade carrot cake! My hubs is not a fan of that flavor in general and he even said he would eat a slice of that cake! Owner’s wife is an excellent baker!”
“I'm from the East Coast, so I am familiar with what the East Coast has to offer in wines. To put it bluntly, they aren't the best. My expectations going into this winery were low. However, I was proven wrong. These are not going to be heavy bodied complex wines that you would find in California, but these are definitely what I would consider quality wines. My husband and I did two flights. One red and one white dry wines. Not everything was to our specific liking, but everyone's palate is different. That being said, we could tell that these were quality wines, and we were so glad we stopped for a visit. Side note, if they have the wine brownie, go for it. It is absolutely amazing!”
“My daughter and I stopped by Habicat Cafe on a weekend adventure and hung out with the kitties. The staff was great getting us set up with snacks and tea and introducing us to the cats. The cats were great and we enjoyed our time with them very much.”
“I adore this little shop and thrift store so so much. It has everything, amazing bagels/ food, good coffee, a wonderful and unique thrift store, beautiful indoor and outdoor seating / environment to hang out, and good people working there. You can tell how much love and thoughtfulness they put in to the set up & product sourcing. I LOVE this place and i’m so grateful it exists especially in such a remote area like Long Creek. Vegetarian options: love the everything bagel with avocado and sirachaDietary restrictions: I’m vegan and I eat there without difficulty. Gluten free is very limited though so I just cheat (not an allergy) because the bagels are sooo goodParking: I always find a spot in their lot out front”
“Loved visiting Willie's each evening for dinner while camping. We tried the mahi tacos and hot dogs. Both were delicious! Really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and large fire pit. Will definitely return when we visit the area again!”
“Decent Barbecue in a very scenic area. I should note that the South Carolina mustard sauce here is different from anything else I have tasted. First it is brown and is very sweet. It also has a bit of a vinegar flavor with the mustard. I am personally not a big fan of very sweet sauces, however, if that is up your alley this is the place. The Pulled pork doesn't come chopped much, so you will likely need to pull it. The pork is also had a lot of fat that wasn't fully rendered. I should also mention the portions are massive and will likely be enough for 2 meals which is great! Overall, worth a road trip for the entire experience!”
“We stopped in on our way home to South Georgia from North Carolina. Such a cute little restaurant with one of a kind items inside and an adorable boutique upstairs. We we’re greeted graciously. We tried the quiche Lorraine and the meatloaf sandwich. Both excellent! Will definitely stop in again.”
“Small town atmosphere with big town food and service. Set on the Clarkesville Square , we enjoyed the large selections for both salad and pizza, freshly made and cooked in front of you. Excellent, just excellent.”
“This was the second time we visited and ate at the restaurant. The food was amazing. So good. Definitely worthy of 10 stars. I wish I would have taken a picture. Portions were huge. Our waitresses each time were great. So friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave a 4 star for the atmosphere was because the second time we went there was a 3 piece band and they started out so loud it was unpleasant. But the waitress intervened and was able to get them to turn the amps down. We'd definitely go back again.”
“Really good home meals and great portions for your money. If you're a fan of chicken livers, you'll have to stop by and get some they're perfectly ”
“We had the meatloaf plate with mashed potatoes/gravy and cabbage casserole today and it was all wonderful! Nice to be able to get a home cooked meal when you don’t feel like cooking!”
“Found OTP last week. Had the Pimento cheese melt & tomato bisque, really tasty. Went back with family& friends, had the BLT & tots, again terrific. It's a small town place, our waitress was running the entire place on Sunday, but she was friendly & got everything correct. Oh, and they have a fair selection of draft beer that's nice. ? We will definitely make this a local repeat establishment!”
“My family and I have been eating regularly at El Jinete for years. The food is always quick, fresh, and delicious. The servers are always friendly and top notch. The owners are awesome and have created a family like atmosphere. They have a wide variety of items and speciality drinks on their menu. My family has so many favorite foods on their menu, but some of our frequent "go to" items are the "tacos de pollo asado" and "burrito loco" as shown in the pictures served in the restaurant or their "burrito California" in the to-go picture. Their chips and salsa are addictive. The serving sizes are huge, and we normally eat half at one time and save the other half for lunch the next day. While not shown in the pictures, their "chicken soup" is the best we have ever had and is perfect for any time of year. We highly recommend this restaurant for amazing Mexican food and service. We also recommend reserving their beautiful, private room (for a nominal fee) for special events.”
“Traveling through Clayton and came across this wonderful restaurant! Our server was excellent and the food was great. Wonderful selection too. I will definitely add this to our places to stop by when we come back through town.”
“Prices are very reasonable. Must be a local spot. Not a lot of parking. Service was great.Parking: Not a lot of parking spaces. You have to back out onto a busy road.”
“As a New Yorker from a big Italian family I would say this place has great food. Could improve a little on the meatballs otherwise amazing! Service was eh. It was empty when we got there and no one was at the Hostess stand and when we finally got seated our server was seemingly a little spacey and disappeared for long periods of time. Our booth was covered in crumbs but otherwise was clean. We will probably return based on the food alone but should our customer service be the same or worse we probably won't go back a 3rd time.”
“I don't go to this restaurant often, in fact I was actually having to the Sunday Diner next door for their Friday seafood night but didn't realize they stopped it at 7:00 p.m. LOL. Not wanting to get back in the rain, I decided to sit down and look at the menu in order the very simple meal of fish and chips. They're not joking when they say that they serve their meals with a little bit of flair. The food was appealing, their notion of a side salad was a very generous portion (although I wish cheese was one of the ingredients). Both the fish strips and the fries were cooked perfectly and the 1399 price was incredibly reasonable in this day and age.I definitely plan to return more often. Just like the Sunday Diner which is in the same out of the way shopping strip, this is off the main drag behind United Community Bank so a lot of the tourists tend to miss it but the locals sure do know about it and anyone looking for great food, great service, and fair prices ought to use the GPS on their phone it made their way to Ishy's Grill.Wheelchair accessibility: I certainly can speak to this as I am in a power chair. There is a handicap parking space directly in front of the restaurant and there's no curb and plenty of parking. I was able to drive my wheelchair into the restaurant with no bumps or tight squeezes and they have multiple tables that can accommodate wheelchairs and power chairs.”
“A local recommended this place to eat. Whenever we're traveling we never tried to eat at chain restaurants. We like to try to experience what the local places have to offer. The food was very good and not overly priced.”
“Amazing place to grab a drink and eat some great food! Highly recommend!!Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome. Great place and atmosphere!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.”
“Absolutely the best Philly cheese steak I have eaten in 25 years. The pizza was full of flavor and fresh; a real NY style pie! The lady I spoke with was very professional and courteous, both, on call-in and pick-up. We are very happy to have found this jewel.”
“A blast from the past, this is the last real local southern food buffet left in Clayton. So if you’re looking for some fancy lake experience, go to a different spot, but you won’t find better food than here if you’re looking for authentic n Georgia southern.”
“If you are looking for a healthy smoothie to drink now or healthy food to cook at home this is the place to go!I stay healthy by getting my raw herbs from their herb bar. They have rows of encapsulated vitamins too. And if you are looking for pain relief you will find it here! One stop shop for your body!”
“Have dined here several times. Food is very good and reasonably priced, and the views are worth a million bucks. You can see 3 states. My experiences have been unforgettable. Highly recommended.”
“What a great place. The food here is prepared to order so if you're in a hurry you should probably go to McDonalds down the street and eat their street trash because good, quality food takes time. This is a place to relax, put your phone down, look across the table, visit with your mate, and wait for your culinary delight to show up. My wife and I have had the sweet potato pancakes (yum!) the Campfire Scramble (They actually 'ask' you how you'd like your hash browns cooked-me: extra crispy), their cinnamon rolls (so good they have to be Heaven sent), the sour dough bread (eating some right now at home...incredible) and their fresh made quiche...to die for. All the baked goods are made onsite fresh daily and don't last long. Susie, the owner and head chef, is the sweetest thing on two legs and well skilled in good vittles. We have a second home here but I'm thinking about throwing a sleeping bag in the back of this restaurant.”

“Awesome place to grab a bite to eat after a nice outdoor adventure. Four of us stopped after hiking and all were impressed by the food. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely will be back”
