“My fiancee and I stopped in here on the first morning we stayed in the area, and I couldn't believe how good the food was or how nice the staff were. It was so good we stopped in for lunch on the way out the next day. If you're in the area, this is definitely one of the best places to stop for food (and I recommend the gravy biscuits!)”
“Our lunch was wonderful! The setting is beautiful! We had the crab cakes and shrimp scampi. Both were excellent. I believe the crab cakes were the best I've ever had anywhere. This is our new go-to restaurant, for dinner as well!”
“I am not a hamburger fan. Fast food has done that to me. Mike brought me back. His burgers are made to order. You can tell they were pre-frozen patties by their shape. Highly recommended”
“The pizza was delicious and came out fast and hot. Server was wonderful and attentive. We tried the pear cider and that was great. We also had the creamsicle cake and that was very good. Cute place. Will return when we are back in Clayton.”
“Today was a first visit to Hush Cuban. The food was fabulous!!!! I had the pork bowl, it was so delicious. My friend had the Cuban sandwich. I definitely will be visiting this restaurant again. Very clean and friendly was a plus too. Thank you for a great experience.”
“We have enjoyed each time going to Fortify PI. Pizza is unique and delicious, the wings are excellent and the wine selection, though small, is well thought out. And the draft list is a great blend. The attention to detail on the pizzas on our recent visit wasn’t as good as our other times there, but that’s just picking nits. Overall, this is an ideal stop in Clayton and should be experienced if you are in the area at all.”
“Awesome place to grab a bite to eat after a nice outdoor adventure. Four of us stopped after hiking and all were impressed by the food. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely will be back”
“My husband and I have frequently passed this place on his commute back and forth to Toccoa, Ga. Today we decided to stop in and give it a go finally after many times wanting to stop in. BEST. DAMN. DECISION. ??The burgers were cooked perfectly to temp and the homemade pimento cheese speaks to my southern heart. This is a true Georgia restaurant with true southern hospitality. Go DAWGS!And that banana bread French toast! OH MY STARS! So delish! We will definitely be back. Oh and try the homemade carrot cake! My hubs is not a fan of that flavor in general and he even said he would eat a slice of that cake! Owner’s wife is an excellent baker!”
“I really liked it, and very good options, for Breakfast and Lunch, but if it's a weekend you have to have time because there is a lot of waiting for both the place and the food, the service is good, only American coffee, but it's good.”
“Everyone has already said everything! The food is excellent. My boyfriend is super picky about bbq and he ate all of his pulled pork…that has never happened. The owners are so nice and super sweet to our pups. They brought out some treats and a bowl of water for them. One of our dogs was trying his best to get in the kitchen. Don’t pass them by.”
“My daughter and I stopped by Habicat Cafe on a weekend adventure and hung out with the kitties. The staff was great getting us set up with snacks and tea and introducing us to the cats. The cats were great and we enjoyed our time with them very much.”
“We often travel to/through North GA and when we're in Clayton (or even close by) THIS is our spot!We are coffee nerds and White Birch never disappoints! The sweets are great, the store is great and the service is top-notch!~George & Patty”
“Great service great food some of the best ribs i have ever had. The waiters where amazing despite clearly being understaffed they brought the food way faster then excepted. Be a little patient with them. The atmosphere wasn't perfect and the bench seats where uncomfortable. Other then that 10/10Vegetarian options: If you are here as a vegan dont go.Dietary restrictions: None of the the options have cheese as far as I could tell. So good for lactose intolerance people.Parking: Plenty of spots the ossue was there was birthday party we where just aboe to get a spot so ill ssy it is fine but you might have trouble on bussy days.Kid-friendliness: Not unkidfriendly but not kid friendly either there is a bar and alot of alcohol so if you jave a problem with that with your kids leave them at home or cary out because its worth it.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and all tables have olaces for people with spaces with a wheelchair.”
“We stopped in on our way home to South Georgia from North Carolina. Such a cute little restaurant with one of a kind items inside and an adorable boutique upstairs. We we’re greeted graciously. We tried the quiche Lorraine and the meatloaf sandwich. Both excellent! Will definitely stop in again.”
“My husband and I visited the cafe on our travels from GA back to NC today, and it was absolutely amazing! Melanie took care of us and was just the best. She went above and beyond!! Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone in the area.”
“The barria tacos are Flipping delicious! Very kind employees. Family owned and ran with love. You'll see when you stop in. I stop in here regularly for lunch now. Chorizo dip is good too!”
“Really good home meals and great portions for your money. If you're a fan of chicken livers, you'll have to stop by and get some they're perfectly ”
“Food is homemade & good, great prices too. Stop there every time I'm visiting the area. Service is awesome, the girls take really good care of us. See yall soon”
“Traveling through Clayton and came across this wonderful restaurant! Our server was excellent and the food was great. Wonderful selection too. I will definitely add this to our places to stop by when we come back through town.”
“We had the meatloaf plate with mashed potatoes/gravy and cabbage casserole today and it was all wonderful! Nice to be able to get a home cooked meal when you don’t feel like cooking!”
“A lovely community hub and one stop shop for your wellness needs! Vitamins, supplements, protein/greens powders, and a extra nice surprises that will put some sunshine in your today: delicious healthy smoothies made to order, Cbd, cocktail mixes, fresh organic produce, grab n go sandwiches, etc., and the owner Dana is a gem of a fantastic human! Go!”
“As a New Yorker from a big Italian family I would say this place has great food. Could improve a little on the meatballs otherwise amazing! Service was eh. It was empty when we got there and no one was at the Hostess stand and when we finally got seated our server was seemingly a little spacey and disappeared for long periods of time. Our booth was covered in crumbs but otherwise was clean. We will probably return based on the food alone but should our customer service be the same or worse we probably won't go back a 3rd time.”
“While on a road trip we stopped one day near Clayton and Google Maps suggested I visit this brewery. It was a great experience of flavor and attention. The bartender, who unfortunately I don't remember her name, made our experience very pleasant, with extremely friendly service, she made us try samples so that we could then enjoy the pints. Excellent variety of IPAs.It was Sunday and they were showing football on the TV, at a very low volume that did not bother those of us who were not interested in the game.”
“We hike in the Georgia mountains all the time and finding a great spot for a burger and brew can be challenging. The service is excellent, everyone is super friendly. The food is top notch and the place is way cool. It’s like Country Cheers! It’s our new go-to in the hills.”
“We were from out of town. We stopped by Veronica’s for breakfast. I had an omelette, my husband ordered pancakes , sausage, hash browns, and eggs. It was all delicious. Because it was so good we went the next morning. I got the home fries with a side of gray while my husband had full breakfast again. We were greeted with such hospitality you would have thought we had known them for years . What a great experience all the way around. PS they also had great coffee!!”
“Wow! What a beautiful property! Very peaceful and just a nice place to enjoy the breathtaking mountain views and a glass of wine! Also, this winery allows you to bring outside food for you to enjoy, which is pretty cool. People were here having picnics which is a cute idea.Highly recommend you go and visit!”
“I don't go to this restaurant often, in fact I was actually having to the Sunday Diner next door for their Friday seafood night but didn't realize they stopped it at 7:00 p.m. LOL. Not wanting to get back in the rain, I decided to sit down and look at the menu in order the very simple meal of fish and chips. They're not joking when they say that they serve their meals with a little bit of flair. The food was appealing, their notion of a side salad was a very generous portion (although I wish cheese was one of the ingredients). Both the fish strips and the fries were cooked perfectly and the 1399 price was incredibly reasonable in this day and age.I definitely plan to return more often. Just like the Sunday Diner which is in the same out of the way shopping strip, this is off the main drag behind United Community Bank so a lot of the tourists tend to miss it but the locals sure do know about it and anyone looking for great food, great service, and fair prices ought to use the GPS on their phone it made their way to Ishy's Grill.Wheelchair accessibility: I certainly can speak to this as I am in a power chair. There is a handicap parking space directly in front of the restaurant and there's no curb and plenty of parking. I was able to drive my wheelchair into the restaurant with no bumps or tight squeezes and they have multiple tables that can accommodate wheelchairs and power chairs.”
“Very cool vibe at this establishment. The rooftop area is nice and the interior is cool. The view from the rooftop is beautiful. Ryan was a great waitress. Food was delicious and the beer was cold. We will be back! Highly recommend!!”
“Amazing place to grab a drink and eat some great food! Highly recommend!!Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome. Great place and atmosphere!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.”

“I'm from the East Coast, so I am familiar with what the East Coast has to offer in wines. To put it bluntly, they aren't the best. My expectations going into this winery were low. However, I was proven wrong. These are not going to be heavy bodied complex wines that you would find in California, but these are definitely what I would consider quality wines. My husband and I did two flights. One red and one white dry wines. Not everything was to our specific liking, but everyone's palate is different. That being said, we could tell that these were quality wines, and we were so glad we stopped for a visit. Side note, if they have the wine brownie, go for it. It is absolutely amazing!”
