“Delicious southern home cooking. Buffet style, meat and vegetables, homemade desserts, plus grill items. They also serve breakfast. They have a main dining room and 2 overflow dining rooms, which can be rented for special events. I rented the large room for our office Christmas party. The buffet was prepared and set up exclusively for our party. They decorated beautifully for Christmas, and I was allowed to bring in a "piano man". The owners and staff are ALL wonderful and go out of their way to make your dining experience wonderful. I highly recommend Kelly's Restaurant!!“

“This past week I was up in the Dalton area to visit friends and had some time to spend downtown. I was walking around looking for a coffee shop or bakery and all of a sudden I saw that fantastic 1930s neon sign standing 10 or 12 ft high on the side of the building saying Oakwood and I decided that's where I was going. Well that and the lovely smell of bacon, pancakes and everything else wafting out of building. I walked into a surprisingly packed restaurant on a weekday at 10:00 in the morning. They do have an auxiliary dining room on the side. I didn't look at that. Sign said seat yourself so I did in a comfortable Booth. There were two servers for that large restaurant and they were doing a great job. I ordered a western omelette had some of the mist crispy bacon that I've ever had. Also grits which were amazing and some gravy on the side which would have been really good if it had sausage in it. It was okay the way it was. It also came with one of the most fluffy tender biscuits I've ever had. I also asked for a side of the barbecue pulled pork which they make themselves in my omelette. When she brought it she said it wasn't ready yet which was not a problem. But about 5 minutes later my waitress who is lovely showed up with a nice plate of pulled pork. A little bit of sauce which I put on top of my omelette that pulled pork. I'll tell you what it was delicious. I would have loved a big plate of grits covered with pulled pork and some grilled onions peppers and some tomatoes. The service was great. The restaurant was clean. Everyone was friendly. Everyone eating there was having an awesome time. My friends in Dalton say the Oakwood is the place to go.“

“Today, we got the make it your own bowls. Food is always fresh and delicious every time I have come. I have tried everything they offer and never disappointed. I don't ever leave here hungry, that is for sure ?. On Saturdays, they run deals for everything except steak, quesadillas, and kids foods. The restaurant is always very clean and so are the bathrooms. I have never had a bad experience at this location. Very good lunch spot. I wish the quac and cheese weren't extra bc I love them both.“

“They had a good selection of draft beer and also had cans. You go up to order. We got one of the pizzas and was very pleased with it. We were there with a group for a birthday party and was hoping to be able to talk to each other but they had live music and it was very loud in the building.“

“Googled places to eat in Dalton (live in Calhoun) for my birthday dinner with the siblings and kids. This place popped up and I had never been. Always open to new places so this was it. Studied the menu ahead of time, just so I wouldn't be glued to it while everyone else was yucking it up having a good time. Circled a few things I leaned toward and crossed out what I probably wouldn't care for. The online menu isn't the same as the one given to you there btw. More items listed on the physical menu. Didn't make a difference in what I ordered, but it would be nice if they updated their online version. Cold Creek is sold as a brew pub type place, sorta "bougie". At least from what I could tell online. Think City Cellar in Cartersville. Got there and was immediately taken aback by the nondescriptiveness of the exterior. Almost made me second guess my decision. Looked way more biker bar than bougie. Went inside and was greeted by what appeared to be either the owners or frequent patrons at a table who directed us to wherever we could fit our party of 7. Wednesdays are live music nights which was a bonus. The dude was setting up as we sat down. Our server was Kristy and she was outstanding. She may have been the only server on duty. Kristy was attentive without being overbearing. Drink orders taken in a timely manner, then appetizers, and finally entrées. No complaints at all concerning service. Granted, the place wasn't packed. But it was a Wednesday night. I hope they are slammed on weekends. Mainly because the food was awesome, even for what is basically bar food. My son and I ordered loaded fries and fried mushrooms first. Thoroughly enjoyed both. A few others ordered different things, and from what I was able to try, it was all really good. They have craft beers which I understand, is how the place got its start. What I ordered was fine for what I thought I'd get. Entrées soon came. Son ordered the Smoked Brisket & Bourbon Sandwich and I the B.E.L.T. Burger (think fried egg on top). Fries and onion rings for the sides. It was all excellent. Zero complaints about the food at all. Nada. Prices are reasonable for what you get service was outstanding. Atmosphere is laid back and I was comfy in jeans, untucked button down, and ball cap. Not sure how often, but I will defintely be back. Wish I had taken a pic of my burger. It was fairly epic. Recommend all the way to 11.“

“We had a great visit at the Dalton Cracker Barrel. Food was perfect. I had the grilled chicken tenders, carrots, greens, and fried apples. Couldn’t eat it all and took it home for tomorrow! “Me and my girls rolled in one Friday night. Just getting out for the weekend. We were hungry and we stopped here to get some dinner. When I tell you this food hit the spot. It was so delicious the table quickly got quiet, for the respect of the food. It got the spot.“

She came buy about 5 mins after giving us our sweet tea and said, hey y’all I tasted that tea and it don’t taste right to me (she wasn’t lying, but we weren’t gonna say nothing) went and tasted the tea from another pot, came back with fresh great tasting tea. Really shocked me that she did that. She came by multiple times checking on us. Really impeccable service. Karaoke was nice, of course I was to chicken to participate, atmosphere was great. The service alone would impel me to return.“

“Just wanted to drop a question for management: WHY are you using tail on shrimp in your pasta? Do you enjoy eating shrimp with the tail on? Your customers are digging the shrimp out of the pasta to take the tails off. Come on now. Other than that, service was great. We were seated promptly.The restaurant has a nice feel to it. Brooke our server was very pleasant. “My boy was wanting to go here for his 10th birthday (apparently 3 other birthdays was going on too). At first, it didn't start too well. We waited for just like 5-10 minutes for a hibachi table. Once at the table though, we put in our order and waited for no less than 30 minutes before a chef came out. Once he came out, was another 10 minutes so that the orders could be straightened out...and still was wrong. My wife's steamed rice and my fried rice somehow wasn't on the order.Chef seemed like he was a bit on the grumpy side. As soon as he found out it was my boy's birthday...it was like a switch was flipped. The Chef turned into a very cheerful and entertaining fella. He had us all cracking up with his joking around and antics with my boy and the rest of us. He got my boy to come around and hold some of the utensils and wear his napkin like a bandana like you see some of the cooks wear. The waitress was really nice and got everything fixed that was wrong with the order and was so friendly and took care of my boy on his special day.My boy loved the experience and will remember it forever (and so shall we). Prior to this experience, my wife wasn't much of a fan, but I think she'll want to return after this.Oh and the food was very delicious!
