“This is a very enjoyable place in upcountry when you have a craving for Mexican food on Maui. The menu has a great variety, food is very good and plentiful for the price. Service was friendly and attentive. It’s a great, local-feeling place that is very welcoming.“

“Delicious food with huge portions! We stopped here in paia randomly due to the many vegetarian options for our vegetarian. Service was great and they were super open to modifications. We ate outside so we could see the sun and people walking outside but still got shade from the sun. Food was delicious but servings were 2-3 times larger than expected. With a group of five we would have been fine just ordering two appetizers. Our faves included the nachos, enchilada fries, fish tacos, Mahi mahi sandwich, cali style quesadilla, and the ring of fire burger. We also enjoyed the limeade and strawberry lemonade from the bar. We will definitely be going again.“

“Came here late in the afternoon. Was delighted. A lot of authentic Mexican food that is really well done. My wife is gluten free and I'm vegetarian and there were a ton of options for both of us that were clearly labeled.Restaurant is relatively small tucked away in a retail area but service was good and the food was probably the 2nd best meal I had in Maui. My wife also loved her horchata and coffeeVegetarian options: Nearly every dish or plate has a vegetarian option instead of meat. Menu is expensive and virtually all can be made vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Wife is gluten free and the menu is clearly labeled and has dozens of options for gluten free folks which is a nice surprise.“

“Great location and easy pit stop on the way back up the hill. I don't normally eat fast food but sometimes, you just need to fuel up and Taco Bell is a great option. They are super quick here and friendly. Deducted one star because one of the visits my veggie fiesta burrito was still cold“

“This little Diamond in the rough was just what I needed. No one goes to Maui for Mexican food, but if you are tired of Loco Moco and Spam ain't your bag, then hit up Maui Tacos. It's a fast, casual vibe, but the food is cooked to order. I ordered the steak nachos two days in a row. The steak cost $2 more, but I thought it was worth it. You have your choice of black beans or refried as well. The menu is brightly displayed overhead on three large screens. Soft drinks are free refills. The tables have maps of Hawaii on them. So plan your next trip over tacos and tostadas. Did I mention that there's a salsa bar? Try the pickled, jalapeño vegetables and pineapple salsa, you can thank me later. My food was fresh, hot and fast. Visit for the beaches, stay for the tacos!“

“Must stop road to Hana!! We grabbed food here on our way back from a day of hiking. We were later in the day so almost everything was sold out, but we were able to try the pork tacos! The lady at the stand was so kind, and if it wasn’t a 3 hour drive from our hotel we would have returned (even though we contemplated doing the drive again, just for these tacos)“
