“First time here for this local resident! I've driven past this intersection for decades and have no idea when this business popped up. Great location, parking, outdoor seating (kid and dog friendly), and a solid, healthy menu. I had the vegetarian burrito with tofu, and scarfed it down before remembering to take a picture. That's how good it was. A trickier proposition when it's raining, but that's also when the flies leave the area.”

“So it’s like this… Kua ‘Aina Sandwich Shop has got to be the best burger for the job if you’re hungry amidst shopping for all the great gift ideas!! Bacon burger with all the fixings and also with the green chili Tabasco is mayjah and it scratches the itch every time. Really good as a medium rare burger. So juicy!! One of my favs!! Kudos!!”

“Pebbles comes to the rescue after a hot day. As the only beverage truck in the immediate area, it’s the perfect counterbalance to all that buttery, garlicky shrimp goodness. I tried the pineapple, mango, and passion fruit smoothie, and it was insanely refreshing; bright, tropical, and surprisingly light. Exactly what I needed to wash everything down and keep the food coma at bay. A must-stop if you’re already getting food a few steps away!”

“This place is absolutely amazing! The food is always top-notch, the workers are always incredibly friendly. The store manager, Jacinda, has even published a coloring book, which kept my daughter entertained while we waited for our hot food. The banana bread is super delicious, and I couldn’t resist adding a scoop of vanilla gelato on the side. It was the perfect combo! This has quickly became my favorite brunch spot. I highly recommend this place!”

Perfect for a trip to or from the beach,We love the generous amounts of meats and vegetables and not to forget to amazing Papaya seed dressing. The Staff is always friendly. We love Storto’s”

“Fantastic place, be sure to go if in the area. Food was top notch apps to dessert. Service was amazing Maria our server was very sweet but the whole staff works together really well. One issue, they need new chairs. Some of the most uncomfortable ever. Hard wood ladder back like I grew up with but at least they had cushions.”

“I went to the North Shore and ate it for dinner on the recommendation of a Snap writer!!!! My aunt wasn't there, but the male owner was there, but he was very kind and delicious. Hehehe, he's Korean, so he took care of everything and it was delicious!!! The best!!🩵”

“am not a fan of nuts but my husband is so we had to stop here. They had MANY samples and I discovered several kinds that I enjoyed. It's a very small shop but you can see Macamia trees, try samples of nuts and coffee, and check out the items in the store. I definitely recommend making a quick stop here.”

I am still waiting for my bowl and although I’m sure it’s going to be awesome it’s a travesty that there’s only one girl working here trying to do this all by herself. She seems like a very composed and intelligent young woman but she’s absolutely overwhelmed. I’m sitting here watching customers come in and leave because she just can’t do everything alone….”

“This is the best food truck on island and we’ve tried them all. We’ve been eating here for twenty years. I think the other shrimp truck in the lot must pay for advertising because it’s always crowded but their food is sad and gross by comparison! Hono’s is cash pay only. Shrimp are large, cooked to perfection. Plate comes with two scoops of rice and cole slaw with a sweet sauce that’s heavenly. LOVE the garlic!”

“Everything we tried was delicious! We went to Oahu for a week and ate here multiple times during our stay. Croissant breakfast sandwich with any kind of meat is delicious. Spam fried rice plate is great if you're looking for a big breakfast. The pastries, cinnamon rolls and pies were fantastic! The coconut cake was my favorite though! perfect, light, fluffy cake. I don't even like coconut!”

“While no expert on Hawaiian cuisine one of the best lunches I have had on Oahu in a truly unexpected place. I had the spicy cashew chicken salad and kpig sandwich. I felt that I was eating something actually local prepared with care and the food was amazing. What nature hike has really awesome food, cafe and bar?!? On my food centric visit to Oahu this was a definite highlight and an unexpected bonus of just going to swim at the falls.”

“My acai bowl was really good! Good portion for your price (for Hawaii). I loved: the fruit and texture. Didn’t love as much: the granola, how light the acai was. It also took forever to get my acai bowl, but they had quite a lot of orders and were working the whole time. The two girls working were very nice to me, and made me feel welcome!”

“Incredible. Saw heaps of YouTube’s about this place. Now if you think you’ll only get 6 shrimp. Nope. We had about 12 or 13 per plate. So much garlic and butter, huge chunks. And the rice, wow. Nice and fluffy with garlic and butter poured over the top. Do yourself a favour and go.”
