“Popped in for a second while the rest of the family was shopping in the town. The cookies are outlandishly great. I get it that there is a contingent of people (and reviewers it seems) who prefer a soft moist cookie. That's not me. These crisp magical buttery cookies maybe veer more on the shortbread side than a boring soft cookie, but they are easily in my top cookie experience I've ever had. Perfection. My favorite is the Butter Dreams with cornflakes adding an extra crunch texture.“

“A must stop if you’re on Kauai. Some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. This nondescript place is on the main highway between Lihue and Waimea Canyon. Go to the canyon in the morning to beat the heat and the crowds and on your way back stop here for lunch. Great portions for a good price and did I mention the pie for dessert?!?!?! You can’t go wrong. A local recommended it and they were spot on. Enjoy. Mahalo.“

“Absolutely loved the coffee here! Espresso is nicely roasted and shines through whatever beverage you get! The service is fantastic and very friendly! The sleeper beverage here is definitely the chai, a must try in my opinion. If you’re in the area stop by Eden Coffee!!!“
“We came down from Waimea Canyon and we have the sudden urge of some sweet treats. And came across to this Filipino convenient store. Perfect! My Filipino in me was so happy especially when I saw that halo-halo. This store got lotsa snacks for the road. They got deli that includes cold wrap & sandwiches, lemonade, boba drinks and smoothies and some Filipino groceries that reminds me of home. I got muncher (a Filipino green peas snack) and a can of Filipino corned beef. I also got banana turon paired with fresh buko. It heart was so happy. The Filipino couple who owned the store was so friendly and are the happiest to talk to. Ate & Kuya I'll be back! Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yeeps!“

“Not just a bakery! They also have great gifts. Excellent locally owned place.I’ve been going to sugar skull for about three years now. Alfred & Maren are the owners and they’re both super friendly, helpful, and professional. As far as baked goods, I like their caramel bars, brownies, coconut bars, cookies, and pumpkin bread (when it’s autumn). My husband likes their cheesecakes and they made him a delicious custom cheesecake. As the years have passed they’ve expanded their gift selection and they have a bunch of great local gifts and kid’s gifts in store. They’ve quickly become my first stop to get gifts for my kiddos or a place to get gifts to send to family on the continent/abroad.Kid-friendliness: So many great gifts for the kiddos and they also carry locally made baby food pouches.“

“A Must-Visit for Authentic Kauai Coffee and TreatsThis cafe is the best place to grab authentic Kauai coffee. The staff is wonderful and adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Don't miss out on their white chocolate macadamia nut cookie - it's absolutely delicious. A perfect spot for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a tasty treat.“
“Purchased a very tasty piece of ube cheesecake and some excellent chocolate chip cookies from a kind and attentive sales clerk (who may have been the owner?)I plan to go back when I'm next on Kaua'i, which I very much hope will be soon!“

“Amazing rotating selection of pies by the slice, both sweet and savory. I was visiting for only two weeks, but kept coming back here. Some of the best pie crust I’ve ever had!Hard to pick my favorite since they were all so great. But probably the blueberry coconut; The juicy blueberries went perfectly with the toasted coconut in the crumble topping.“

“Stopped by for a snack on the way to Salt Pond. I was happy with the Caesar salad from the fridge- $5 for a half head of chopped romaine- honestly the best price on the island- this would be $17 at any other restaurant (eating out on Kauai is usually mediocre and always ridiculously expensive). The cinnamon snax are basically cinnamon and sugar croutons- not too sweet and the ingredient list is all just basic stuff. A nice place to stop for some sweets. They have a mini mart as well. I think that their prices are good- if you find their treats elsewhere there will be a big mark up.“

“Lappert's is a great local chain of ice cream shops in Hawaii. They have homemade flavors you will not find anywhere else. Plus, it is relatively inexpensive compared to most Hawaiian fare. We went to the Koloa Landing Lappert's and it was fantastic.“
“I was surprised, and not in a good way. First, that ube mochi was a real treat and was an unusual and positive surprise. I was expecting, based on the name and a few previous reviews that there would be fresh cookies but all they had were packaged cookies. Also, we got the impression there was coffee but they weren't serving any.Overall, the store seemed to be trying to be a lot of things to a lot of people, leaving the focus unclear. But if you want a fresh local meal, this may be your spot. But "cookie" isn't high on the list of descriptive words I would use.Parking: Lot in the back of the store.Kid-friendliness: My kids had snacks, specifically fruit snacks (of all things!), and were satisfied by the options.“

“Delicious, fresh food. The pizza was a nice surprise, as we didn't see it on the menu. While we were ordering, one of the chefs brought it up and told the woman taking orders it was available. Wow was it delicious! Hanapepe swinging bridge is basically right across the street which was also really fun to see. We will definitely return again when on Kauai.“
