Went here on a whim for takeout at the front counter. Ordered very simple plates; chicken katsu. As many have commented, the portions are smaller considering the price and compared to other restaurants. The food was okay. A bit oily. A few hours after dinner, my family and I started to feel queasy. We didn't get ill, but we certainly didn't feel good after eating here. We probably won't return.

The staff was great. Now the food, I had a combo 13, which is Pho and seafood fried rice , and I was looking forward to enjoying it as my wife and I were very hungry, but I was really disappointed. The pho had no flavor at all, as if it was only water with noodles and the rice was really salty and dry. I like to support local businesses, and I am willing to give it another try. I just hope they up their food game a notch or two.

We went for dinner with no reservation and got seated immediately. Cozy vibes with local music playing. Service is attentive and really nice. But the food was the star of the show, everything so delicious. Portions are good for the price. I'm coming back here again soon! No complaints here, yummy yummy yummy the best food

When the grown ups are running the place, they do it right. Tonight, it was some punk boys and girls. They were exceptionally rude. Purposely replaced my beef broth with veggie broth ...(yes, I noticed you jerks do that). Waited to get home to write this review. Don't plan on the food being right with the new punk kid staff. Just sell the place if you are letting your rude children take over. It was nice while it lasted but now, just pass this hole in the wall. The hole is filled with moldy young jerks now. Hilo rice noodle soup is now horrible rice noodle soup. McDonalds has better consistency and much friendlier workers. .

"Good Food"!All-Kine-Stuff!Mostly Vietnamese and Chinese selections!Get there early or the best selections might be gone!I had Mussels in Black bean sauce, Ono, broke da' mout!Took home da Crispy Duck w/ rice!No forget the hot mustard/shoyu!Also, ask for some Hoisin sauce for a special additive to the choice of condiments!One lovely wahine at the window, very helpful and professional!Fair prices for modern times! They work hard! Tip accordingly!And smile!

The food & service was really good but unfortunately they put too much msg, I had a heck of a reaction: heart was racing & body was shaking & just didn’t feel good. Wish I could go back cuz it was really yummy and the staff was so sweet.

This is a great spot for pho and Chinese food. I know it sounds bad when a restaurant does too many different things but this place really nails it. Egg fried rice and beef broccoli is my go to.

We have been going to Hilo Rice Noodle for years, because they had consistently good food and service, however now their prices have gone up, quantity & quality have gone down and the servers are inexperienced and rude. It's a long story about how bad our last experience was, worst meal & service ever. It's so sad to see how far this once good restaurant has fallen.

Food and service are good. However, the amount of food is too little for an adult. I got a Pho Nam Vang. It looks like a kid size bowl. My husband got a rice plate. Rice is okay but not much meat to eat.

The beef noodle soup got a pass. The bun bo hue however failed immensely bc the noodles were the wrong kind, the meat was a bit tough, the broth was not spicy. The spring rolls were good.
