I really like this restaurant and if I go to Hilo again I will definitely go here, I ordered the Moco Loco's one with the pork patty and then the other with bacon, They can put the egg on top either scrambled or sunny side up, The dish also comes with a side salad, They offer two different sizes I ordered the small which is plenty of food/ the location is in the heart of Hilo, It's a very old building it's an old place, They offer a lot of different traditional Hawaiian common foods and that is the reason why I really like this place, The service was really excellent All the young girls that work there are knowledgeable and very helpful ~ which is extremely difficult to find.

My buffalo chix sandwich was so vinegary I almost couldn't eat it, but my friend had a loco moco that looked delicious, with a side of mac salad. She liked hers, i did NOT like mine! Always nice to go and eat semioutdoors there though, they have a covered dining area with a view of the Hilo streets.

Been here for 4 days and this is the best food on the island. Hubby had fish n chips. Both were crispy and tasty. I had delicious yakatori chicken with spot on Mac salad. Going back for moco loco and dessert

Must try their twist flavor serve ice cream. I had the pineapple and vanilla flavor. Delicious dessert after eating one of K's Drive-In special of the week. Their mac salad was also good. They have a variety of local dishes.

Favorite spot of our vacation so far! Takeout for dinner and had to go back today for lunch. Great plate lunch. Delicious Mac salad and Kalua pork!! Will be back.

Worst food ever! Ordered a blt and got a slice of flT white bread with a paper thin slice of tomato, a sliver of lettuce and 1 piece of thin microwave bacon. All for the luxurious price of 6.45.

It is a lovely place to eat. People are friendly and warm. Just a mention: their food is just a little salty, it would be a number one if the salt was cut back a little. Otherwise this place is a place i love to eat at. Fast and friendly!

We try to get this every day while we are visiting in Hilo. Sometimes it right after getting picked up at the airport. We get sad when the machine is down. It happened twice on the trip but it's okay... once it's up and running, you forget about the days you missed. The funny thing is that we never ate a plate lunch or anything other than the twist cone. One day when the machine was down, we got the spare ribs plate. Holy cow, it was so good! Nice flavor and the meat was so tender. The staff there is so awesome and friendly too! See you next time, Ks!

Basic local/American fare diner with outdoor seating. Low prices for small or lower quality basic fare- good value. Had the Hamburger and fries- asked for thousand island to dip my fries and was really good. Basic small type ‘high school’ hamburger.They have a decent sized local menu for saimin, oxtail etc. They also make basic deli sandwiches.

I've been to K's twice and both times asked if they had Teri PATTY burgers. Each time the cashier told me yes then gave me a Teri beef burger with slices of Teri beef in them. This is the only place on the island where I have issues with differentiating between Teri beef and Teri patties. I've returned because I like their onion rings but they are pricey compared to other places. I'll most likely give up and stick with Verna's.
