Hawaiian Market

My husband and I came in here for a quick bite before our flight to New York and we had a fantastic meal. This is not what you would expect at the airport! We had terrific service from a nice woman who helped us quickly get our food. I ordered the fish dish which was outstanding - as good as I would expect to get at Roy's or fine dining in Honolulu. Located at the Honolulu airport just inside the gates, Mauka Market is actually a very nice restaurant. The wait for a table was about 10 minutes for us, and our waitress was extremely helpful telling us immediately that the wait time on food is about 20 minutes, just to give you an idea whether you have time or not to grab something to eat. Went here since we had a long layover and it did not disappoint! Started with the shishito peppers which some were spicy some were not. The peppers themselves didn't hold much flavor but adding the lemon and using the two sauces provided made the dish. For the main course I ordered the miso ramen and it was WONDERFUL, especially for airport food. I would come back here specifically for the miso ramen.
